Bloody hell the Queen sitting alone was horrendous. Its the first time she's ever looked like an old lady to me

It’s so sad to see isn’t it. And absolutely heartbreaking to think that there would’ve been many wives and husbands sitting alone at their spouses funerals this last year.

There would have been street parties no ??.. my first street party was when I was little.. it was when Charles and Diana got married.. I was a hulu girl .. bizarrely.. union flags were flying , t towels everywhere... why isnt there street parties anymore .. I know it shouldn't be party time but the country should celebrate him

Is a royal funeral a street party thing though? I get it for the weddings but the funeral seems a bit strange to me. Could be wrong though

I would've quite liked it if Philip had picked a random song he liked that wasn't a traditional hymn to be sung at the funeral. I feel like it would've been quite a Philip thing to do.

That kind of reminds me of the wedding of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Sofia. They exited whilst Joyful Joyful was being sung. Sounds fairly normal but it was the Sister Act version

There were street parties for the Queen’s Jubilee. It would be entirely inappropriate for the occasion of a funeral.

There will hopefully be street parties next year to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of the Queen.
