Mr Wright KC now asks the defendant about seizures.
Mr McGowan-Fazakerley says Preston never had a seizure in his presence but there was an incident where he was sick in his cot and staring, twizzling his hands, which he saw.
The prosecution refers to a previous incident when Preston was taken to hospital and Mr McGowan-Fazakerley left work to go to A&E. He says he was told Preston had a seizure in the emergency department.
On June 15, he was told Preston had another seizure, while on a business trip to London. Mr McGowan-Fazakerley says he felt helpless as he was getting on a plane and knew he had to turn his phone off. He says he got home very late and in the early hours.
‘He never said he recorded it, he never showed me the video. I remember him telling me he was sick and brought up some chocolate buttons.’
‘You were aware of the advice that had been given to you about recording seizures but then you failed to say to Jay, did you record it?' Mr Wright asks.
‘No, I didn’t ask if he recorded it, I didn’t,' the defendant responds.
Mr Wright asks: The next day did you say, ‘just like the hospital advised, did you record it?’
‘I didn't,' he replies.
I’m not a parent but surely if a child you proport
to care about was having seizures and your partner had filmed them ‘for the hospital’ you would want to see them no matter how upsetting!!! Just so you knew what to look out for
