Me too I was so scared, and when they said congratulations this looks like the start of a healthy normal pregnancy I burst into tears and couldn’t stop crying!! Such a shame we have to do it alone though.
Oh god that happened to me aswell, waited ages for another appointment and was surrounded by women with masks around there chins
Awww so lovely, praying I see little baby blob next weekI had ectopic before so when pregnant again you automatically get early scans to rule out ectopic repeat. That little yoke sac is the best thing ever. 2 wks later there was a little blob on screen and i bawled my eyes out with happiness
I am really interested as you have both had scans and my last period was 11/11/20 and it was not like a normal period it was like water my cycles are all over the shop so I literally have no idea but I could only be like 3 weeks the clear blue thing said 3+ But I’ve read on the internet they can be very unpredictable at measuringWell the first day of my last period was 1 dec and my cycle is about 26 days (sorry if TMI) so that should make me around 5+3 but she thinks I am a bit earlier so I don’t know when I ovulated, I didn’t do any ovulation tests so I’m unsure. Imagine we all had our babies on the same day

Hmmm do you have long cycles? Sorry I can’t remember if it was you that said you did, and if it was a really weird period do you think it could of been an implantation bleed by any chance? You could be a lot more pregnant than you thought?! yes I think it might have been me but my last period was much earlier in my cycle than usual like 27 days which is unheard of for me my sister in law said it could be implantation but I did a test but it was negative abs just thought oh it’s my odd menstrul cycle striking again. I have gained a stomach weight I could just be very bloated I just wish clear blue weeks went up further. XHow in accurate like less or more xx

So Christmas eve, I phoned the GP because I thought I may have a UTI. She didn't do a urine test but put me on antibiotics anyway.
They appeared to have worked but not until the last day of them when I finally had no pain, that was the 31st.
Called today because the pain returned 2 days ago, was awake all night last night with it.
She said bring in a urine sample and it should be back by Friday.
So I go in instantly to get it, take it back straight away, to be told their currier left hours ago and the results won't be back until Monday.
The receptionist then says "If it is a UTI, I wouldn't advise leaving it that long"
I phoned the number they give you to call on your maternity packs, and she says they can't do anything only the GPs.
So basically I'm left in pain, until Monday at the earliest with a possible UTI

You know what my doctors is bleeping tit most of the time I had to beg them pretty much to get me a scan can’t get through to any midwife took me nearly two years to be told I had pcos and basically I need to lose weight ( which is so hard like I basically have to starve myself) that was the end of that conversation honestly they tell us not to Google things then I see them literally googling tit on their computers!!! I feel for you UTIs are awful the other thing I get is oh well you should go to a & e that is the default for everything xJust going to rant a little

They say oh make sure you see a GP for this ASAP make sure you see them for that ASAP and then they take forever to deal with it.
I understand they have lots of people.
I see my midwife on Monday so I may as well have waited until then! At least I'd get the result instantly!
I am raging for you honestly then I have to talk to the witchy receptionist who is usually horrible to me. I was so concerned with my strange period ( because that’s how abnormal it was) I rang up and she just couldn’t be bothered to help me said I could have an appointment in 4 weeks time. Honestly morons! UTIs are awful I know it won’t fix it immediately but drink shitloads of water xx

Gave my name and she said "Well I'll have to go check" went back in and came back with the pot, handed it to me and went "Make sure you fill in the details correct" and shut the door on me!
What kind of doctor has to send off a urine test. Surely it’s a simple dipstick?? Boots and Amazon do home use UTI tests. Your pharmacy might even be able to do it for you. You can also get otc cystitis treatment at the supermarkets if you think it will help?

This is exactly what I said to my partner!
And then it takes 2 working days to get the results!
I've said to them I have a midwife appointment Monday, I may as well wait until then, at least the results are instant!
I actually have some test strips I bought for protein and they have a section on them for infections!
Might do it later so I know whether it is or not!
TBF ours do both. They dipstick it and send it off. My daughter’s result was negative on their test and positive for UTI in the lab.
Can you call the out of hours doctor this evening? They may be able to get you a prescription sooner.Just going to rant a little

Hello lovely I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this, my babies nuchal food came back at 4.5mm and we were told there was a 1 in 100 chance of baby having Down’s syndrome. Within about 10 mins of being told this they started mentioning terminations etc. Broke our hearts. Anyway, we were able to get a NIPT (aka harmony test) via the nhs so it was about £300 I believe because the thought of an amniocentesis freaked me out incase it caused a miscarriage. I appreciate not everyone is in a position to be able to do this though which is really frustrating. Anyway, results came back as 1 in 10000 so basically the baby was the lowest risk possible for downs. Had to have a scan at 16 weeks to check all his organs etc and everything came back perfect. Please try to stay positive and I hope you get the answers you want as I can so relate, the wait is absolutely agonising. Pls message me if you wanna chat or have any more questions xxx

Turns out she meant the appointment was apparently wrong for some reason so asked how are you getting on with the pregnancy and rescheduled for 4 weeks later. and hung up a minute later. So pointless.
Not having great luck with care so far, my first scan was arranged before in early December but I wasn't sent a letter or informed in any way so I completely missed it!

Baby will be a little blobby peanut and you may be able to see heartbeat, but if you don’t it could just be too early to see it yet xx
I find antenatal care really patchy!
