Totally forgot how much your emotions can make you dislike your partner so much in pregnancy 😂😂 I had this last time and if he breaths or coughs in the wrong way I’m like a bat out of hell. Anyone else? 😂😂😂
YES. mine kept yawning but making that stupid noise when he did it and I literally wanted to snap his neck. Couldn't talk to him for about two hours after 😂😂

I have a horse and was worried about riding but the mw said the baby is really well protected nestled where it is it. The way she described it was put an egg in a plastic box with water and try and break it- virtually impossible and that's what it's like with our wee beans! It's so hard not too worry so I totally get where your coming from but that analogy definite helped me. Also I was so reassured by getting an early scan (I had to go for one for bleeding on the NHS which turned out to be nothing) but you can get one from 6 weeks at the private scan clinics up here so that might help alleviate your fears a bit too 😊
Ahh thank you for sharing that :) yeah I’ve got a scan booked for the 19th, I’ll be 7 weeks and 2 days. Really looking forward to it.

Do you think perineal massages help? I started them with my first at 30 weeks and ended up with a 3rd degree tear 😂
Didn't bother with my second and it was only a small tear 😂
I think I did it about 7 times or so last few weeks not loads, had a teeny cut in labour and no tearing even though it felt like it was about to 🤣
Had cut at last minute as her head was a little big

Super impressive stretchy muscles down there!

Hey all do you think it’s worth paying for an early scan? I don’t know if I’m 5 weeks or more any suggestions are welcome x

I’ve had 2 this time around (one at 6weeks 3 days & one at 7 weeks 5 days) - the early one was transvaginal (didn’t hurt at all).
I’m an ivf pregnancy and found comfort seeing the heartbeat & being told everything is ok, they also measured to comfirm growth was ok for those times but no due date until 12 week scan. I’m 8 weeks today and praying it really happens xx

I would suggest if you do, waiting until around 7-8 weeks as before 7 weeks you can't always see a heartbeat 😊

Are your periods regular at all?

So for the past 6 years I have taken no contraception my periods I do get them but the cycles are very long some of them have been over 50 days so I am quite confused as to how pregnant I am I was referred to fertility clinic and tests as soon as my period was due but for some reason I kept having really bad heart burn and being sick lost my appetite and my fiancé said to me last week he had a dream I was pregnant. Then for some odd reason I decided to do a test and I’ve done three now all positive I am still really shocked x

Congratulations.
Midwives ect will all go from your LMP regardless of how long ago because that's all they have to go by until your dating scan!
So I'd go by your last period when you contact the doctors!
However many weeks that makes you. And it should get you in for your appointments and scan sooner too

I think my husband keeps forgetting I’m pregnant. Yesterday he got all giddy and grabbed me playfully for a rough hug dancey thing and his arms grabbed round my chest and it hurt so badly! I had to yell him to stop and let go a few times before he realised. Then today I was sitting in the floor with the dog and he walked by and kicked me in the back! Obviously an accident but I’m still sore from it now. I’ve had to have a word and remind him to be gentle and remind him to be careful.

Can someone just reassure me that things like that are ok? I’m only 5 weeks so still worrying that anything could cause mc.
There’s very little you can do to induce or cause a miscarriage aside from taking abortifacient drugs - the baby is the size of a poppy seed. That said my boobs were super painful in the first trimester!! I don’t think men realise it’s more than just growing a bump! My husband has this habit of spooning me in bed then using my body to pull himself closer, pressing on my bump in the process and it’s quite an unpleasant feeling!

I thought due date for ivf pregnancy was based on the transfer date not on the scan? As they will already know when you conceived

My partner is the same! They don't seem to think about it at all 😂
He's leant on my stomach so many times and I don't think he realises how uncomfortable that is! Especially now I'm further on!
The amount of times he's grabbed my boobs as well even joking around. I can barely manage a bra so he's been close to being punched a few times 😂😂😂

It’s not me questioning when I’m due?

I was replying to op who asked if she should have a scan to ease her anxiety and she didn’t know when she was due - that’s why I’ve put the exact weeks and days that I had my scan as we know how far we are and at my last scan I was advised I would get my exact due date at 12 week growth scan

You said “no due date until 12 week scan”? I thinks that’s confused me as not sure what you mean by that

I was in hospital just gone Wednesday for a scan (at 7 weeks and 5 days) - they said baby is measuring exactly as it should be for 7 weeks and 5 days however they won’t give me a due date until 12 weeks, this was an nhs appointment. I have been online - put in my details and have an approximate date but it’ll be the nhs that decide it

That’s what I thought you meant, but if you have had an IVF transfer i thought it is based on your transfer/retrieval date. Anyway I’m sure you’ll know better than me it’s your pregnancy! 😊

Don’t worry about it lovely - it’s we’re here for, I talk about my ivf a fair bit (previously on the fertility thread) as hardly anyone in my real life knows about it, it’s nice to be open on here XX
