I’m also team boy! Planning on calling him Alexander. Thankfully a name we agreed on fairly painlessly, my husband hated loads of my suggestions for girls names so it’s just as well he’s a boy!

Pram wise I have gone for an Uppababy Vista V2. Bit on the pricey side but gets excellent reviews and my two friends love theirs. It’s very easy to collapse down, has a huge basket and can be converted into a double if any future babies come along while the first is still in the pram. Also has lots of nice little features included like mesh vents and rain cover. Got a Cybex Cloud Z car seat as it is compatible with the pram, rotates and reclines so no time limit for using it when out with the pram. Again, a pricey option but I got my cot for £70 off Facebook and a second hand bedside crib so I saved £330 that way! 😁😂
Congratulations on your boy! Alexander is a lovely name, in our top 3 for a boy 😊

I’m only 12 weeks and we are 70/30 on the names Fiadh or Sadhbh. I want to give it a little longer to see what feels right but I always knew I didn’t want the stress of naming her when she’s here. My husband and I both like the idea of calling her by her name before she’s here. I’ve a friend who’s baby is a week old and she still has no name, I feel like postpartum I would be in no state to think of a name she will have for the rest of her life 😂

My (much younger) cousin had no name until they were forced to go and register him at 6 weeks! They tried 3 different names in that time and discarded them all 🙈

How do you pronounce those names? Are they Irish... or maybe Scottish?

They are Irish. I’m Irish and we will be moving back there a few years after the baby is born so they aren’t out there names back home.
Fiadh basically you don’t pronounce the dh - Fia
Sadhbh - Sive with a strong i like the letter, not sieve like the kitchen utensil!

Lovely! I loved the name Roisín but my husband vetoed it.☹ And my baby had a pen 😂 Also loved Orlaith but my cousin named her little girl that!

I adore the names Oliver and George. But I don't want a popular name 😂 Plus they're those kinds of names where you always know somebody with those names and they're t**ts 😂

I love these names. My husband suggested Saoirse the other day and I really like it.

Had a membrane sweep today as now 4 days past due date

Wasn’t bad at all, read horror stories accidentally online while googling procedure (general advice- don’t google 🤣) I actually drove myself there and back to appointment as had no one else to take me (1 hour round trip) called at Costa drive thru on way back and got a major twinge, immediately panicked thinking I’m alone and a 20 minute drive from home 🤣 false alarm

Had some twinges this afternoon but nothing of significance
After my sweep at 12 midday had contractions at around 12 midnight, worst feeling was felt like my bum was about to fall off! Unexpected ha
Called hospital told me to take paracetamol etc but ended up going in as felt I was in too much pain, was 9cm and gave birth a few hours later!
Super quick progression

Totally like nothing I expected (though I had no birth plan and tried not to read too much) but it’s beyond surreal having her here 😍

Congratulations!! Amazing. Are you both happy and healthy? Does she have a name? (Don’t worry if you don’t want to share!)

Lovely news, hope you’re both doing well!

Happy New Year, ladies! Here’s to our 2021 babies! I’ve just spent midnight vomiting up my Domino’s from earlier. 😂 I guess it can only get better from here.

Both happy and healthy!

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by ‘downstairs’ after hasn’t been too painful at all- hope it continues fingers crossed

Can’t decide on name yet!

Finding breastfeeding tricky so far so having a stay in hospital til we feel more comfortable

Happy new year everyone thank you for all your well wishes ☺
