See when you say 18 weeks tomorrow I’m thinking “oh that’s not long!” But my 19 weeks seems forever21 weeks pregnant with 4th baby, struggling with PGP, my c-sec is 18 weeks tomorrow!
Will be keeping a eye out for your update tomorrow. I hope it all goes well.I'm 8 weeks pregnant with twins (although only one heartbeat so find out tomorrow if the other has started or if it's just going to be one baby!) Struggling with bad nausea![]()
Only my 12 and 20, no others. Some trusts are allowing and some aren’t so best to check with yours.Have you all been able to bring your partners to the scans?
Fingers crossed for youI'm 8 weeks pregnant with twins (although only one heartbeat so find out tomorrow if the other has started or if it's just going to be one baby!) Struggling with bad nausea![]()
I think once Christmas has passed the weeks will fly by! What are your age gaps?See when you say 18 weeks tomorrow I’m thinking “oh that’s not long!” But my 19 weeks seems forever![]()
I am hoping so! Eldest will be 8 when this baby arrives, my son will be 5.5 and my current youngest will be 2.5. What about yours? I love the reaction I’ve been getting this time when people ask if it’s my first and then I say “no my fourth” they all goMy OH has been allowed to my scans, but not my midwife or consultant appointments.

I’m 35 - mine will be 5, 3 and 2 when this one arrives. The amount of people who have asked if it was planned thoughI am hoping so! I love the reaction I’ve been getting this time when people ask if it’s my first and then I say “no my fourth” they all go!! Really amuses me for some reason! I look quite young for my age (34) and lots of people always tell me I don’t look old enough to have any kids!
How bloody rude!I’m 35 - mine will be 5, 3 and 2 when this one arrives. The amount of people who have asked if it was planned though![]()
It took me a very long time to get pregnant with number 1, then I thought I was extremely lucky to have had number 2, then 3 came along a lot quicker than expectedHow bloody rude!
Yours will be very close together, that’s just lovelyIm sure there will be lots of excitement from them all!
I had a termination this time last year and I was plagued by the thought that because id done that I didn't deserve this one and something would happen. Ultimately it was the right decision for me at the time. Thanks for starting the thread!
I'm 18 weeks and 4 days, my first one and terrified as I have no idea what to do. It was really an emotional time when I found out as it was unplanned and I really wasn't sure what I was going to do. I even got to the point of going to Marie Stopes and getting the pills, they were actually lovely and I had a few counselling sessions with them, they weren't pushy at all. I still feel completely terrible about it though and worried I'm gonna get some kind of bad karma for it!
Also needing to move out of our current place by end of February, want more space for the baby and move out of the city to save money and a bit safer. Moving is stressful for anyone but trying to find a place with a baby on the way and during these times with restricted viewings is a nightmare.![]()
Wow I could have written this exact post myself! Our stories are literally the same.
I just hit 9 weeks yesterday! I had my booking appointment today and it started to feel real a bit, counting down to my scan which is arranged for the 6th of Jan. Temped to do a private scan before then because I'm just too impatient.
I'm hoping my sickness is starting to wane. It was really bad for 3 weeks but the last 5 days have been okay. Discovered at my booking appointment I have lost 6lbs in the last 3 weeks from the nausea. I'm quite petite so I don't want to lose any more than this. Fingers crossed I'm out of the woods.
Have you all been able to bring your partners to the scans?
What will you be doing instead? Hospital birth?I’m currently 35+1 with my 3rd
Local birth centre is shut and won’t be reopening before I’d need it![]()
You don’t need to be terrified. Honestly NOBODY has any idea what they are doing with a first baby (or even sometimes after no1) but it’s all there inside you and you’ll surprise yourself at how easily it comes. Little things like being confident holding a newborn, and knowing what they need, it all comes together. Thanks for starting the thread!
