Not sure how much better this will make you feel but I’m 21 weeks and I still get cramps and stomach aches at times. Sometimes a few times a day and baby was fine at my 12 week and 20 week scan.
Oh thank you so much for that, Iv felt fine the last few weeks- no pain or sickness and today Iv felt really bad and had stomach pains. I do feel a lot better knowing that it’s normal because I thought it would go by now. Xxx thanks so much xxx

My 12 week scan I got a letter with the date. Midwife appts I’ve had to chase up myself.

I’m having growth scans so have had less midwife appts. I’m 37 weeks tomorrow and will be having my 3rd appt with her.

You have less midwife appointments if you're having growth scans?
I've had growth scans with all 3 and my appointments with the midwife are the same

To be fair my midwife is awful. I really don’t like her.

I had an appt at 35 weeks and she wouldn’t measure my bump as she said it was ‘unnecessary contact’ When I go tomorrow I’m insisting she has a feel as I can’t tell what position baby is in and don’t wanna get to my 39 week scan and she’s turned again without me knowing.

I am so shocked to hear about the crap hands off care people are getting.

Apart from my 12 week appointment when my history was taken over the phone rather than face to face (and scan etc all done as normal), everything where I am has been totally normal. TBF I’ve only managed to remember to make 1 midwife appointment 🙊 but again it was normal, as were my 3 hospital appointments.

How are they expecting mums and babies to stay healthy and calm if they aren’t being treated properly?

Is my concern. It really worries me!
I understand there's a pandemic but women and babies lives are being put at risk.

Just a question for everyone... Does anyone do the strep b tests during their pregnancy?

I have done them with both of mine and will be with this one when the time comes. It does suck that you have to pay for them, but totally worth it and not something that tends to be spoken about

I can’t imagine going through the care some people have mentioned, especially as a first pregnancy, or having had issues such as pre-e in previous pregnancies which aren’t being monitored this time. Very scary for lots of you. I feel very fortunate right now.

I’m so glad this isn’t my first pregnancy. I wasn’t even told to have flu/whooping cough jab. Luckily I have a friend who was a few weeks ahead of me so she kept me up to date with stuff. Even tho I’ve done this before I don’t remember things 🙈

I am 30 weeks, so far I have spoke to midwife over the phone at 8 weeks, saw her at 9, 16, 24 and 28 weeks, due to see her again when I am 34 weeks.
At my 24 week appointment, I had high blood pressure, so was sent to the DAU for monitoring, it came down instantly, but I now have to go weekly for blood pressure check, blood tests and monitoring on baby to check for signs of pre eclampsia.

Although it's a pain going back and forth to the hospital, I am glad me and the baby are getting the right care, it's shocking to hear all your stories about the lack of care being given.

Hi ladies, I’m new to Tattle but loving it so far. Didn’t realise there was pregnancy section so thought I’d join in.
I’m 21 weeks today and utter miserable. I had bad sickness from 5 - 15 weeks. Had two weeks from 15-17 weeks of pure respite, felt great and then since 17-18 I’ve felt like utter tit, worst pain in my ribs at my right side on my back and my front. Mood has dipped and just feel sad all the time.
I swear I will be doing this once and once only! 🤣 kudos to those of you on your second + !
You sound just like me! The rib pain got unbearable, I’m on medication now and it improved but at 33 weeks it’s come back this past week. One of the best things to help was a belly stocking. Basically this easiGRIP Torso Tubular Bandage Size L 1m. The hospital maternity physio sent it out to me.

To the ladies who’ve missed appointments totally and not even had phone contact, look at the NHS website and there is a contact schedule, just be sure you’re not missing because you’ve not self-booked. In my trust at least you have to self refer and chase everything up if they don’t book your next appt on the previous one. On the hospital maternity FB group a lot of women haven’t realised this, assumed they’d be booked for them and as such missed appointments that they were entitled to.

I'm supposed to have my booking appt tomorrow 9+6 which was face to face but they called me today to say it's now over the phone 🙄 kind of annoyed about it now

How has it been for you all going to scans alone?
Only my 16 week scan was alone, and it was fine. It may be different if a mum is very anxious, or a first time mum, but going alone doesn’t bother me at all. I’ve seen a lot of people say it’s a really important bonding Moment, but my husband and I have never really felt that. Obviously we are glad to see all is well in there, but he doesn’t mind not coming to my other scans (he goes at 12 and 20, but not 16, 34 or 37) and I don’t mind going alone.

I’ve had to have all mine alone. I’m an anxious person anyways, so I don’t think even with a partner attending I’d have been ok beforehand.

I did have a private scan that my partner attended before my 12 week one as I wanted some reassurance. And we went for a private gender scan too.

Yep I have to book and chase everything myself, (blood results, urine results etc) apart from hospital appointments/scans, but I check on those too if I haven’t heard anything.

Last pregnancy (pre-Covid) I had bloods done as normal, but nobody told me I needed a prescription for iron tablets as I was severely anaemic, until it was too late for the iron tablets to make a difference and I had to have an IV iron infusion at the hospital 🤦🏻‍♀️ So now I check and double check everything.

I haven't had pre eclampsia but I am also in the same position as you, worried about it completely and haven't had urine or blood pressure checked at all and I'm 28 weeks. I presume they'll do it at my midwife appointment next week!

I bought some urine strips off of amazon to test at home as I was so worried!
So I check every 4 or 5 weeks

He also complained because I was laying up against his back when sleeping and asked me to move because the baby was kicking and it was keeping him awake 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
I hope they do for you 🤞🏼 I didn’t know you could buy them off Amazon that’s great I’m going to get some thank you!!
