Second time trying and failing to harvest colostrum. Hot bath, massage, even used a haakaa pump to try and move things along. Wondering if my body is just nowhere near labour 😭😭😭😭
I don’t think it’s necessarily linked - I didn’t get anything with my first until after he was born. I know it’s easier said then done, but try not to beat yourself up over it!

Had my scan at EPU this morning. Everything is fine and where it should be. Bleeding was caused by a little blood sac that's still there so they've said to expect bleeding to continue for a while whilst it empties. I am having the worst farts and trapped wind at the moment and the strength it took not to fart on the table whilst she's wiggling the wand round and pressing on everything was insane.
So pleased to hear it's fine! x

Does anyone else’s baby have quiet days? She is still moving about, but she definitely goes through certain days where her movements aren’t as ‘forceful’ as others

Ahh I know. Thanks. It’s just getting so boring being pregnant now 😂 and thought this was something I could be doing to prepare!

yes, it doesn’t help either when I’m at work and I can’t always feel the movement because I’m in my feet moving.
recently mine has changed its pattern and I was a touch worried as I wasn’t feeling the movement at the usual ‘times’ but now it’s back to being active as such but at it’s different times (gone from an early mover to late mover - hence why I’m here at 4.11am 🤣)

Thanks everyone. Got to go back on 24th for a follow up as they want to see heartbeat as it's unknown viability at the moment.

Honestly, the gas is something else. It's so painful!

I’m not much of a skincare/makeup person anyway so I had no clue there were ingredients you had to look out for - one of the many things no one straight up tells you

Under my eyes have been so dark and patchy and I thought I’d found something to try to help reduce it but realise that actually maybe it’s not recommended in pregnancy because of a couple of its ingredients. I’ve always had fairly dark under eyes anyway but it seems so much worse this pregnancy

Does anyone have pregnancy any safe recommendations that might actually work? Some days I look like someone has punched me in the face 😩

It’s a minefield! The only thing I stopped using is retinol. I didn’t bother looking into other ingredients that closely - my recommendations would be:

- any under eye cream with caffeine and vitamin c will help with dark circles (this one from Origins is amazing and they also do a matching tinted face cream which is so great to slap on in the morning and make you look awake https://www.origins.com/product/153...ghtening-eye-cream-with-vitamin-c-niacinamide) the caffeine is in such tiny amounts it won’t be an issue and niacinamide is preganancy safe.

- for a concealer that actually works I use this one from Rodial - I’ve tried so many and this one actually covers dark circles: https://www.lookfantastic.com/p/rodial-banana-low-lighter-5.5ml/12062520/

Overall though key is to keep them moisturised, there’s nothing scientific that will properly combat dark circles as they are genetic/to do with blood flow. 🩷

Found out yesterday I am pregnant with my 2nd. I had forgotten how painful the gas/bloating was in the early days 😬
I had lots of bleeding also in early pregnancy so that anxiety is back too.
Ohh the fun of being pregnant!

Thank you so much x
Yeah it was retinol I saw that it had unfortunately!

Yeah I seem to have always been unlucky with the dark circles and I don’t always have time to put anything on and try cover them up in the mornings with a toddler around, they look so bad right now it’s embarrassing 😭

yep! Anterior placenta here as well so it’s a barrel of laughs 😂 on my feet all day in work so I barely feel the movements but I know there’s been one if that makes sense? Then just as I’m worrying on the 3rd day she’ll kick me so hard it takes my breath away.

So sorry if this has already been asked.. but does anyone have a 360 car seat? We’re after a car seat that swivels but they’re a lot more expensive than what I realised and I’m baffled by them 😂 if you have one, which one do you have and would you recommend it?
Definitely we had a motorway crash when babe was 10 weeks old and we were using the joie 360… built like a tank. Plus really good to change a nappy on the go you can just swivel it around to face you when you stop :)

I'm exactly 6 weeks today and it's the first day I've really felt pregnant. Nausea is here, sore boobs. Nearly puked pouring gravy on my roast and just didn't want to eat gravy at all and I normally LOVE gravy.

I've had some mild symptoms come and go that you could brush off as pre menstrual or just feeling off but today is the first day if I didn't already know that I would have thought 'hang on a minute'.

I’d give them a call for reassurance! It’s crazy isn’t it? I had a horrendous bleed at 9 weeks with baby Skates - heavier than day 1 of a heavy period, and he was absolutely fine. They weren’t in a rush to see me though.

I’m so, so fed up of being and feeling sick. I don’t know why I expected anything different after one HG pregnancy but it’s bleeping miserable.
You need to Google PUQE score and go and get some drugs. They're safe and effective, it's not the frigging dark ages. Get some help and function properly

I’m obviously a bit sensitive but hopefully the aggression in your post is aimed at the medical professionals that don’t understand, rather than at me!

im on two different anti-emetics at the moment, just trying to get the dose right so that it’s enough to stop me being sick, but not too much that I’m like a zombie.

Thank you!! Very glad you’ve said this as we’re still debating but think we’re going to go for that one

I’m sorry to read this. Is it the Fragmin injection? If so they’re the ones you’re given after a c-section. Is it the just mental side or are you also struggling with the injection itself?
Yeah they are. Starting to get used it to it still makes me emotional after though. It's the injection though I am trying to stay aware of the mental side of things as I've always suffered with anxiety.

Mine does this every week. He'll be crazy with the kicking for days and then have a day where he stops or it's so light. After a few times of getting it checked out I'm just starting to think of it as a pattern
