When is too early to buy stuff... I'm 19 weeks but Prime Day has some temptations! I.e. breast pump!
It’s not too early but don’t forget we’ve still got Black Friday to come if you wanted to wait a bit longer.
Breast pumps aren’t usually needed until milk is established so if it’s electric, I wouldn’t waste the warranty time or risk it not working for you and being beyond the return period.

Graco turn2me car seat (cheaper version of the Joie 360 but same company) looks a great deal on Amazon big deals day.
There seem to be some good, genuine offers. Way better than the last prime day.

With my first pregnancy I wasn’t certain I’d felt any movement until 23 weeks I think, had an anterior placenta

This time I was told it’s left lateral and I’m sure I felt flutters as early as 15 weeks (which sounds nuts I know 😂) and the flutters and movement has just continued to feel stronger since. 19 weeks today and I’m sure I felt actual taps on the outside while laying in bed this morning but I must’ve imagined that right?

There’s not really any consistent patterns or anything to it which I know is normal and fine at this stage but in a way being able to feel him so early this time has felt slightly more stressful, cause I’ll have days where I wonder and have to think back if I felt anything that day 🥲🫠

This is my first pregnancy, posterior placenta and I felt the first movement at 18w3d! It was a big flip or something because it felt like a goldfish was swimming in my belly 😂 I’m 24 weeks now and still don’t feel regular movements, mostly only when I lay down (she’s active every night around 10pm haha) but when I’m moving around I don’t really feel much. But I remember it took days after that first flip to feel her again. I also never felt any bubbles or flutters, just big kicks / flips.

Just had my last growth scan and have been told I have to have a C-section, I’m okay with it just a bit sad I won’t experience labour etc but as long as she’s here safely then that’s all I care about really.

I am quite scared tho and not sure what to expect 🙈

I had a planned section with my first baby and it was the most positive experience - fire any questions my way and I’ll be happy to help!

Is that because they’re saying baby is big? I’m sure you’ll be totally ok, and at least have some time now to get your head around it all 💕

Awh that’s nice to hear! I just don’t really know what to expect lol, any recommendations on things to take? Or prepare for?

Honestly just take advantage of knowing what day your baby is going to be born! I did daft things like plan to have my nails done the day before, had an everything shower etc. but also changed the bedding and got everything ready at home knowing I wouldn’t be up to it straight away, same with meal prepping.

Nothing really in terms of to take to hospital, but I was really conscious of infection so when the dressing came off I used a clean flannel to dry that area after each shower - saves on washing a big bath towel after every use unless you would anyway.

Totally agree, I hate it. I even bought that stupid tool that’s meant to help with it. It doesn’t feel right at all and just felt like I’m doing it wrong!

That was going to be next on my list but maybe I’ll just give it a miss haha! I’ll try again in a few days 😩

I have had my appt through to speak to the obstetrician about this - is he gonna try and put me off??

Has anyone had a successful sweep? My midwife has offered this when I’ll be 40+4, in case nothing happens naturally next week. Interested to hear whether they work, the stats online say they usually do…

Stock up on paracetamol and ibuprofen each time you shop as the limit on how many you can buy at once makes it tricky otherwise.
A silicone scar plaster for once it's healing.
Big knickers that go over the scar and some bits to wear going forward that'll avoid the area if you don't have already (it should be just on/under the top of the pubic area, I always thought it was a bit higher)
That'd be my only must haves.

Don't get gel/acrylic nails or tan as they like you to have nothing on.
I got my own black surgical socks with zips because my hospital says to keep them on for like a week but others don't. Don't think I'd bother again but it's an option.
I didn't but you could try Arnica for bruising and get some iron tablets for after delivery. A good multi-vit/Vit-C too to help healing.
You'll probably stay in for 24hrs so maybe some earplugs for you & OH and an extra pillow can be handy if he's staying over.

If your body is showing signs of labour already, it can ‘help’ but you never know if that’s the sweep or whether your body would have done it itself. Hard one really.

I had an attempted sweep yesterday, but my cervix was too posterior 😅

Ah yes good point! Fingers crossed I’m showing some signs by then… baby certainly feels like she’s ready to burst out down there 😂
