Unfortunately the statistics have caught up with me. I had a 10 week scan this morning and the baby died at 8 weeks. I always knew that she had a miserable chance of survival, but I honestly thought I'd be one of the lucky ones. It wasn't to be.
Not the best topic for a pregnancy thread, but I have a choice of letting things go naturally (it's been 2 weeks and nothing has happened, except I thought I was handling the sickness too well). I have the choice of taking drugs, this will force the miscarriage before half term next week, but I'm concerned that it might be more painful? Can anyone help?
I’m so sorryUnfortunately the statistics have caught up with me. I had a 10 week scan this morning and the baby died at 8 weeks. I always knew that she had a miserable chance of survival, but I honestly thought I'd be one of the lucky ones. It wasn't to be.
I had my booking in appointment tomorrow and my midwife said decaf is fine. There is a bit of caffeine in them, but I think you’d have to have quite a few to get over the limit!is it okay to get BIAB done? Just wondering if the gel and the uv lamps are safe?
also I know I should limit my caffeine intake, so I’ve stopped all coffee and fizzy drinks, but is decaf alright? Or should I look for something with 0 caffeine like fruit teas?
sorry if these questions are so silly, I have no one else to ask and no midwife yetmy gp just referred me today!
I had BIAB all the way through, never even thought about it being a problemis it okay to get BIAB done? Just wondering if the gel and the uv lamps are safe?

Thank you, that's good to hear. I actually read the pamphlet they gave me then immediately deleted that portion of my post as I'd decided to go naturally. So this is useful informationI’m so sorry.
Regarding the way forward, I would personally be inclined to take the drugs. The longer it goes on, imo, the harder it becomes mentally. Waiting turned into medical management for me.
This morning I felt pregnant, on the way home I ripped off my seasick bands and I just don't feel pregnant anymoreSo sorryI had a missed miscarriage, baby had died at nearly 8 weeks but I didn’t find out until my 12 week scan (was actually 13 weeks) so it had been a good 5 weeks. The brain is an incredible thing and that night I started bleeding, apparently it’s quite common once you find out for things to start happening within a few hours-days.
It was really light at first but I bled for I think 7-10 days (this was a few years ago) and baby finally came.
It’s completely up to you what path you choose, I hope you have some support irl xx
im so sorry. Sending you lots of love and please be gentle on yourself xxxUnfortunately the statistics have caught up with me. I had a 10 week scan this morning and the baby died at 8 weeks. Getting your nails done is okay, colouring your hair is okay, drinking coffee is okay, especially if you only have 1 or 2 a day.is it okay to get BIAB done? Just wondering if the gel and the uv lamps are safe?

I have mixed feelings about my baby’s gender being out there already .. I wanted to keep it a surprise. Hubby let it slip to his family by accident on Friday and my mum drove me up to hospital last night and I accidentally said ‘I have felt him move today at least’ so I went and ruined that for myselfAfter my gender reveal was ruined last week by my boss, I've come in today after a week off and my lovely work pals decorated my desk with boy banners, boy balloons and boy gifts![]()

It depends on how you do it in your area. In my council area in Scotland, we don't contact the GP at all. We fill in a form online for the council areas midwife NHS team and they contact us. I found out at 7 weeks and got a call at 8 weeks but they didn't see me for an online call until maybe week 10. I've never had any contact with my GP yet. But I don't know if that's specific to my area or not. To be honest, even my online call was just going through my details and I didn't really speak to anyone properly and get checked until my 12 week scan.At what point do I contact the gp? Currently 4 weeks so still super early and I don’t want to jump the gun on things and jinx it!
I contacted my Gp at 6 weeks (when I found out!) and they referred me to the midwives and I heard back from them saying they would contact me to arrange a booking appt between 8-10 weeks, then I got a letter at 8 weeks for my 12wk scan, booking appt at 8+4. XxAt what point do I contact the gp? Currently 4 weeks so still super early and I don’t want to jump the gun on things and jinx it!
Okay thank you, I think I’ll hold off for a week or so then!I contacted my Gp at 6 weeks (when I found out!) and they referred me to the midwives and I heard back from them saying they would contact me to arrange a booking appt between 8-10 weeks, then I got a letter at 8 weeks for my 12wk scan, booking appt at 8+4. Hahahahaha I know it's shocking on us females, it really is ! I am struggling to do food shopping in general, everything just makes me want to vomit !It's so strange! Gravy is absolutely disgusting to me at the moment. Even writing the word makes me feel ill. Flicking through Insta and people posting their roasts covered in and it's knocking me sick. I loved it before I got knocked up.
I was saying to Mr Shiny things that if we have to carry a kid for 9 months it's only fair we should feel amazing, but nooooo my own saliva makes me gag.
That's me ! The cold air literally makes me gag ! Eyes watering and everything.I had a friend who could smell the cold air on her husband when he'd come back in from walking the dog in the morning... So weird!
I recognise you from the TTC thread! Congratulations. I just filled out the self referral form on the midwife page for my area. No need to go through GPAt what point do I contact the gp? Currently 4 weeks so still super early and I don’t want to jump the gun on things and jinx it!
Earplugs. It’s the only way!How do people sleep on these wards honestly
Several people snoring away loudly and I managed about 30mins before being woke up by loud talking.
