I did and it was accurate! I’m really glad we did it, we didn’t care on gender either way but it was so special finding out and broke the pregnancy up a bitHas anyone done the sneak peak test at 6 weeks? Tempted to order it and do it in 2 weeks, I’m just so impatient 🥲 but I also want to ride the wave and just enjoy the pregnancy and all the wondering haha
OMG I’ve just realised you are from the TTC thread too! Congrats!Has anyone done the sneak peak test at 6 weeks? Tempted to order it and do it in 2 weeks, I’m just so impatient 🥲 but I also want to ride the wave and just enjoy the pregnancy and all the wondering haha
Hold on, can’t everyone always smell the cold air?I had a friend who could smell the cold air on her husband when he'd come back in from walking the dog in the morning... So weird!
I didn't call the GP. I googled my council area NHS midwife unit and I had to fill in an online form, then a midwife called me about a week later. I had an online chat with her at 10 weeks and my first scan at 12 weeks. I didn't get an option to pick a hospital, just went for the nearest one. I'm in Scotland tho so maybe elsewhere you need to go through your GP.Thanks for all the advice! Yes I’m in the U.K.I’m going to contact my GP tomorrow and let them know, and then hopefully be in touch with midwife services glad I can choose the hospital I want my care to be at!
@Greencatfysh congratulations!! Wishing you all the best for the coming week
how far are you? sending lots of love, at least they are keeping an eye on you xThey’re keeping me in overnight unfortunately :/
Didn’t bring anything with me as thought it would be a quick check, but they’re concerned as there’s still bright red blood and I have a low placenta.
Yes! I love the smell of the cold.Hold on, can’t everyone always smell the cold air?
I couldn’t stand the smell of my own hair or, which was totally horrible, the smell of my Mum. Not bo, perfume, laundry stuff or anything specific, just her.
Almost 21 weekshow far are you? sending lots of love, at least they are keeping an eye on you x
Sorry to hear all of this. Have you seen the doctor yet? Hopefully you get given a clear plan.Almost 21 weeks
They’ve checked baby’s heart rate a few times since being here and it’s all sounded good.
They think the bleeding is likely cause of where my placenta is but it feels a bit shit just being dumped in a bay and left to try sleep (managed maybe only 2-3 hours) until a dr can come by and give more of a plan in the morning. Though it sounds likely they might want to keep me until I have 24 hours without any bleeding.
Yes I think the bleeding calmed down now, they’d want me to stay at least til tomorrow it sounds like, but longer if the bleeding picked back up.Sorry to hear all of this. Have you seen the doctor yet? Hopefully you get given a clear plan.
I’ve had BIAB and I’ve also still had 1 coffee a day but if you can stick to decaf. I think the recommended limit is 200mg of caffeine so just be aware of other fizzy drinks if you are having coffee!is it okay to get BIAB done? Just wondering if the gel and the uv lamps are safe?
also I know I should limit my caffeine intake, so I’ve stopped all coffee and fizzy drinks, but is decaf alright? Or should I look for something with 0 caffeine like fruit teas?
sorry if these questions are so silly, I have no one else to ask and no midwife yetmy gp just referred me today!
I had a low lying placenta and had a few episodes of bleeding too, each time I was kept in as an inpatient until it had been 24 hours since the last bit of bleeding. One point I was there for almost a week, I hope you’re ok?They’re keeping me in overnight unfortunately :/

I've been really suffering with this recently. The wrist supports help a little overnight but there's still a fair bit of pain. The most random every day tasks are so difficult now! I found some exercises online as well which I'm hoping will help over time.Has anyone had any experiences with carpal tunnel? I was awake most of last night cause my fingers were really painful. I've been wearing wrist supports but they haven't been helping at all now.
