Exciting! Sending lots of positive labour vibes your wayConsidering I've just been admitted to be induced after a whirlwind 24 hours I'd be extremely concerned if baby Brew doesn't make her appearance in this thread![]()

Can be the start of PGP, recommend looking into some physio exercises now (I’m 34 weeks and did F all and now paying the price)I’m 23 weeks and over the last couple of days it’s feels like I’m bruised down below / in my groin area, it’s not painful it’s just like achey. Is this normal?!
I’m 35 weeks and have been getting this the last 24 hours or so - literally feels like the day before my period, it kinda comes and goes low down but also my lower back. Going to keep an eye on it today and if it continues I’m gunna call triage.31 weeks and experiencing mild period pains frequently. Freaking out had my twins at 32 weeks so full panic mode. Just passed by for some reassurance think last time i was ticking the 12 box this one really has flew by for me! Pelvic pain is a struggle too, someone said to me it’s a boy thing! Wishing you all healthy pregnancies and labour![]()
I'm 25 weeks and this started for me at around the same time. I told the Dr about it at my most recent appointment and she's referred me to physio. Hopefully that will help because it's driving me nuts!I’m 23 weeks and over the last couple of days it’s feels like I’m bruised down below / in my groin area, it’s not painful it’s just like achey. I went to a baby event and nearly diedDid anyone do/is anyone planning to do colostrum harvesting? That + perineum massage being two things I should do from now on is giving me a bit of ick![]()
I have watched a few videos on TikTok about it and it makes me feel really queasy.Did anyone do/is anyone planning to do colostrum harvesting? That + perineum massage being two things I should do from now on is giving me a bit of ick![]()
Yeah I’m the same.. I get all the theory it’s just the thought of it makes me feel gross. I am just wondering if it’s actually necessary as obv it’s a very new thing.I have watched a few videos on TikTok about it and it makes me feel really queasy.
then my midwife apt this week we were discussing what feeding I’d like to do and I said preferably breastfeed if baby latches. So then she said at 36 weeks she will go through collecting colostrum with me and demonstrate on her knitted boob and supply me with syringes and was telling me the benefits of it etc
but the thought of milking myself makes me really queasy🥲
Congratulations lovely.Hi fellow Tattlers,
I've just found out that I'm pregnant. I'm only just 4 weeks, suddenly decided to use up my old expired tests before I threw them out and now I'm regretting it.
The only thing is that I'm 45. We've been infertile for years so this is a surprise which my husband is not on board with yet
Is anyone else in a similar situation? Older mum or surprise pregnancy?
Where did you get your dried pills made? I’ve been thinking about doing this!!I went to a baby event and nearly diedby the end of the evening I'd been convinced that eating my own placenta in a smoothie was a good idea
Anyway, I did that and had dried pills made and the midwives couldn't believe how much colostrum I was producing! Boobs absolutely didn't leak squat prior to giving birth.
I lived South of Manchester at the time, I think this was a retired midwife who set up a "birthing support" business. If you Google along those lines you should find what you're looking for. It wasn't as gross as you thinkCongratulations lovely.

I had CVS done at around 15 weeks (as I didn’t want to wait until 16 weeks for the amniocentesis) but I think they are almost identical procedures, just CVS is taking a sample of the placenta rather than the amniotic fluid. I was so nervous ahead of the appointment because of the risks involved and the potential of finding out bad news but the consultant, doctor and midwife who carried it out were so lovely and made me feel really at ease. They said I could watch/listen to something on my phone as a distraction but I wanted to feel present so just watched the sonograph screen instead. Pain wise it felt like a punch to the stomach (I don’t know how to word that without making it sound scary, because it really didn't *hurt*, just took my breath away for a second) and then the next 24-48 hours I just felt very tender like bad period pains. The procedure itself took less than 10 minutes and really wasn’t too bad, although I made the mistake of looking at the needle near the end which made me feel a bit light headedStill in a limbo with this pregnancy. 14w4d atm and my next appointment with Fetal Medicine isn’t until just over 16 weeks.
It’s just all waiting to be at a certain stage for testing as one of the main options I have from Fetal Medicine is an Amniocentesis.
I hadn’t thought too much about it but I started having nightmares about it the last few nights and my sleep has been so tit because of it. If anyone has had one before please tell me your experience and if it was really as bad as I’m putting it in my head.
thank you so much xxI had CVS done at around 15 weeks (as I didn’t want to wait until 16 weeks for the amniocentesis) but I think they are almost identical procedures, just CVS is taking a sample of the placenta rather than the amniotic fluid. They told us the gender of the baby which was so lovely and we got our results back about 3 days later I believe, which thankfully were all clear. I am 37 weeks now and have a little scar on my tummy.
Sorry for the essay but I hope this reassures you, make sure to take it easy after the appointment too. I took the next day off work and made sure not to lift anything heavy or do too much. Good luck![]()
