Do you think he's trying to be the next piers Morgan? He never used to be like this.
Maybe trying to gain a lot of new supporters (I've already seen someone I respect call him a 'legend' for this). And also lots of new stories being generated about him online drown out the noise of the more 'unwanted' ones, shall we say. So it's tactical in numerous ways.

I didn't see it, but apparently, when some doctor on TM today was saying that hydroxychloroquine can sometimes cause death, Schofe butted in to say 'Sadly President Trump is still with us'. Then later, when he got a lot of flak for that, he tried to claim he meant 'Still in office' - which doesn't make any sense when he was responding to a comment about death.

He's desperately trying to be 'edgy' and he's failing badly, because he's thick and he's only able to go for the most obvious targets like Trump, and when he talks himmself into trouble he's pathetic at trying to get out of it - and encouragingly, the fact that HE is the one doing it suggests his team of troubleshooters have moved on and left him to it.
Ooh that little comment is a good reason to complain to Ofcom dontcha all think?

His excuse was pathetic. Why would you butt in after a doctor says 'you can die' in order to say 'unfortunately he's still with us' and then claim you just meant 'still in office'??? What's being in office to do with that particular discussion? He has to think people are idiots to try that explanation. He deserves reporting more for that than what he actually said!

Has anyone seen PS's snapchat today? 🤨

The cringe is so strong with this one. He made the same weak joke on TM earlier, and obviously thought it worth manufacturing for social media. He can hardly contain himself at the end of the footage, just suppressing his glee at sharing such a hilarious caper on Instagram. No, Phil (58) - please just stop it.

As someone mentioned earlier - hard not to notice that Holly is not showing the fawning online sycophancy that she constantly did not so long ago.

He did this around the time of Yewtree too. A few minor rumours started coming out so he stopped hanging out with his teenage daughters friends and got really aggressive about “putting all these dirty men in prison”. My take is he’s an odd, shady man who has been lying to his family for decades and I wouldn’t put anything past him

wasn't there something very odd about that 'slip up' on TM of him 'accidentally' showing a bunch of names to the nation? Something not quite right there, but couldn't put my finger on it - like in doing that, he helped the govt in the long run and all these grovelling apologies had to issued, large sums of money paid out etc and the story then put to bed. My conspiratorial mind might have runneth over though on that one, granted...

That was it. Ultimate cringe. A list handwritten by him to hand the PM, all names that were all over the internet. Best one I ever saw him work himself up into a bulging eye rage over was a piece with British rapper Lethal Bizzle, where Phil ended up insisting all rap lyrics were about pedophilia and whatnot and Bizzle, who is a pretty decent, community minded guy who really makes more party songs than anything else just smirked and shook his head and said something about if Phils research into his music suggested he was “gangsta” then he must consider Jedward to be debauched drug taking rock and roll stars 🤣🤣🤣

Always amazes me that ITV daytimes strategy seems to solely involve employing presenters the general public don’t like, we are at a point where Richard Madely can maybe be considered to be one of the most professional ITV hosts ever 😂😂😂

Same with reality stars too! Let’s face it ITV hosts all the Z listers/divas etc etc, what happened to this channel because it was once very good.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11657726/phillip-schofield-this-morning-donald-trump/ Edit- link to an article in The Sun-Have a look at the comments , oh my god some of them are BRUTAL😂😂😂
Good on The Sun for writing about what Phil said.
The comments do show that there are lots of people who saw his "coming out episode" as a clever move to make sure any criticism of him can be claimed as homophobic.

Sadly many of the comments posted after the Sun article ARE homophobic.
They don't help the cause.

The weapon needed to win is not name calling because he is gay but deceit.
Pretending to be a straight family man who is kind to all when he clearly is not.

When's his ITV contract up?

Schofe sure knows how to choose his role models...

How this smug tosser thinks he has the right to appoint himself the nation's grand inquisitor is a mystery.

Tbf he’s a papers man with a decades long career in the media. I’m pretty sure someone really inert like Michael Aspel or Parkinson has photos with all or most of these out there too
