Was a fan years ago, not now.
Comedy has moved on and I can’t see how he will fit back in. Don’t doubt he will sell out the tour, some people haven’t moved on either.
Also he’s not a nice person, a close friend is friends with his tour manager and has told us some stories. He’s not as nice as he professes to be. Certainly not a man of the people.
It was him that was ill, he had leukaemia and was quite poorly.

I managed to get some on o2 priority this morning after over an hour of trying. Anyone else still trying, try typing o2 priority peter kay then the place you want and go through the Google link.
I managed to get some half way up lower tier next to stage at Sheffield.

Why are there so many conflicting reports about illness and who was ill? He did a short interview after the tour was cancelled, he did look quite ill, there was a lot of speculation at the time.
Anyway, isn't it strange how likable he comes across during stand-up and playing his characters, yet apparently he's very different. I suppose I just find that odd, I've heard of comedians being depressed but not thoroughly unpleasant.

Long time lurker … but felt I needed to register after seeing the above.

I’ve been friends with Peter for donkeys years, he’s a lovely person .. not high maintenance at all. He’s a very private person, and very very different away from the cameras

That's the thing 'he's a very private person' which is why it's easy for people to come on here and talks a load of BS as nobody actually knows because he's that private.

As if his Tour Manager will be tittle tattling about him and telling his secrets...that's him out of a job then!

I take everything I read on gossip threads with a large pinch of salt!

Maybe if you're a friend then he is nice but when I encountered him, without accosting him or even drawing attention to the fact that The Peter Kay was within touching distance, his behaviour was unpleasant and rude.
Yes, we all have off days, but when others who are your friends have met him in different locations, done work for him etc.... all say the same without you even mentioning your personal experience, then it's hard not to believe.

If he is horrible or demanding or anyway or anything in real life then he’s a brilliant actor because everyone I know who has watched carshare loved his character so much and was really rooting for him.

I’ve been out with him, when we have just been chatting, having a drunk, going for a walk - and you wouldn’t believe how rude people are, demanding photos etc. He’s not a fan of selfies, and certainly won’t pose for pictures when he’s with his kids … and people get really nasty when he says no. He’ll happily sign autographs, but you try keeping a smile on your face when people are trying to “secretly” film you.

He is very very different when he’s “off screen / stage” - typical comic. I don’t understand why people expect him to be jolly all the time - it’s odd to say the least.

The problem is, it's people in the industry who say he's a bleep.

Would we be right in assuming he has a darker side. I know what I saw on an interview, an interview I can no longer find btw, but all I know is he didn't come across well at all. It left me feeling uncomfortable.
It was with either Piers or Parkie, quite serious in tone. I'd love to see it again. Perhaps he wanted to avoid chatting about personal issues or something

Clearly a joke ….
Bearing in mind he’s notoriously tight and Popbitch are pretty solid with their sources, I don’t think it was. If it was a joke the story would never have found its way to PB in the first place.

I mean if it was a joke why would he have taken the DVDs out of the cases and handed them back? Bit of a long winded set up.

Has anyone managed to get tickets? Whether he’s a gob or not the demand for his tickets is phenomenal, not many other comedians would be able to sell tickets like he does
