Controversial probably but I don’t think Davina looks great. I think she looks thin and drawn. Like as if shes undereating and over exercising . I’m embracing the belly. I exercise for sure but too thin can make us look unhealthy as well. Be kind to yourselves too ladies it’s all such a lot.
I agree with you. I think it’s fair to say that Davina has an addictive personality and has taken it way too far with exercise and, I expect, food. Her face looks so thin and drawn with sunken cheeks.

Oh tit yes, I know the feeling. My period lasted 39 days with big clots and flooding then nothing for 66 days then it came again. I’d rather just be punched in the head a couple of times rather than worrying every time I leave the house. Meh.
Omg I was coming to moan that my 8 day period was hell this month, I’ll just shut up! Poor you.

Any amount of days with a period is bleeping awful. For almost 40 years I used to bleed for 2 days then have a break of 24 days, I could set my watch by it. Now it’s so unpredictable I could cry and actually often do! X

Are any of you able to go on the mini pill? I had to go on it a few years back because I was having about two days a month where pmt wasn’t ruining my life and I’ve not had a period since - hasn’t stopped me taking HRT. I know not everyone can take it or it agrees with everyone but it’s been a life changer here

It makes me feel like ending it all and bleed constantly, so a no for me

I'd go for a Mirena coil in a flash if the insertion process wasn't so horrible.

My periods have become quite irregular now, but until now, there were certain hormone clues that told me when it was about to arrive. Even they're going south now.

I feel like Sam in Quantum Leap, hoping every time that my period won't come and I'll be able to take the leap home.
Mine wasn't painful to have inserted at all (and I am a big wuss), though I know that is not everyones experience. It has been an absolute lifesaver as my periods were so painful and heavy which I suspect would have gotten worse as I got closer to peri menopause as that was my Mum's experience. I got it at 40 and would have done it years ago if I hadn't been scared of getting it fitted. It must have saved me an absolute fortune in super plus tampons and giant pads too.

I was fine on it until my early 40s (on it for 20 on years) when I started having 2 periods a month, bleeding really badly and having horrid pms symptoms.

I came off it and now bleed really badly, have horrid pms symptoms but my periods are much shorter (once a month) and my cycle is lengthening.

Who knows. No one.

I was on the combo pill for years before having kids - was on it at 13 as I’ve always suffered badly with pmt/periods - with no issues at all. Tried again after kids and it made me murderous and so depressed. Again who knows why 🤷‍♀️

I hate that there’s so little investigation into women’s medical issues because hormones can affect the findings - but you can kind of understand why it must make it so frustrating!!!!

My OH has been on it for 25 years and has no issues whatsoever. She didn’t suit the combined and I can’t have it because of cluster headaches.

I totally agree with you, if our bodies suddenly change their reaction to a medication that they previously tolerated, it should be investigated. It never is, it’s just brushed off as “hormones, women etc etc.” Because our hormones change daily, it’s nigh on impossible for them to investigate properly without it costing £££. It’s so unfair. We are left to suffer, be in pain worry about flooding and have our bodies change constantly. It’s so unfair.

So many aspects of women’s health get overlooked, in my opinion, because our experiences can differ so greatly. One woman can suffer hugely every month and another not feel a twinge. Same for menopause. The human body is fascinating- and unfair.

I agree. I think she looks absolutely addicted to exercise. I really think there's only so much we can do without being utterly miserable.

I mean, I had every good intention of going to Salsa class tomorrow night, but it seems that the walking day trip I had a couple of days ago has finished me off for the remainder of this week. As much as I would love to be more active, my energy and physical tolerability for activity comes in waves. At the moment it appears very low and I would get no pleasure or benefit of pushing myself.

Shes on everything too, just trying to get in on anything. Even postcode lottery I think. She doesn't look a picture of health to me at all.

The nighttime itching returned and was driving me crazy 😩 A friend recommended ibuprofen before bed and it really helped if anyone else is struggling and wants to give it a try

A Nurse told me you need to be careful taking too much ibuprofen over the age of 40!
