Could be either! My bladder goes fuller when I wake up in the morning.I'm not sure if I wake because I need to go , or if I need to go because I've woken up.

A dry mouth would wake me insteadMay I ask what time you go to bed? So nothing to drink after 7 not even water? Do you wake up in the morning feeling thirsty? I’m so conditioned into drinking water all hours of the day that I can’t imagine not drinking water right up until bedtime. That said, I used to sleep 8 hours.+ every night apart from the occasional toss n turn night, now it’s a pee break in the middle of the night most of the time.![]()
I haven’t got much storage on my phone at the mo (millions of photos that need sifting though) I normally listen to white noise or the audible sleep podcast with Jamie Dorman. They all work. Could you explain briefly the Max Richter app? I’d die load it and find space for it on my phone if you really rate it. Thank you xMax richter sleep app
Or watch people dig those weird dirt swimming pools on YouTube.
I woke needing a wee for the first time in about three years the other night and was really shocked.
Yeah I think thats the issueSounds like they just didn’t put the right amount of both in rather than there’s anything wrong with the patches themselves.
Same here, if I didn’t have that I would have applied for it.I usually buy a regular pre-payment certificate so HRT is currently covered under that. They gave me 3 months worth so if I re-request in the next couple of weeks I might get 6 months covered for no extra. The HRT one is impressively cheap though so could just get it so timing isn’t a concern.
What is 5htp please? I've tried so many sleep aids and nothing has worked but I've not heard of that one. I'm off to Google it...Hi @Louby@21 have you tried 5htp? I have a stock of them in bedside drawer - they're totally natural (but check they don't interfere with any meds just in case). I find if I wake up at 3 or 4am (which TBH is rare these days as I seem to have my symptoms under control) I take one and they pretty much knock me out. I've found that's better than taking one to get me to sleep earlier in the evening, which is not my problem.
I would also maybe cut the caffeine down earlier in the day if you're having trouble sleeping...
I was told at a smear today. Smears just don't vibe with me. I usually skip them as they're so painful. I've got to get a colposcopy nowYes, I was told that's what I had.
I do think it’s hormonal, my migraines always have been. I’m not on HRT either. When I used to read the menopause matters forum there was a lady on there who was having a late menopause and even when she thought she was nearing the end of peri her migraines still worsened. She wasn’t on HRT. I think the fluctuating oestrogen levels causes it.
Yes and always the right one!I take black coshoh for this and felt it really helps

The past few months I’m getting really sore ankle pain when sleeping it’s causing me to wake up through the night and I struggle to get back to sleep with it, it’s mainly my right ankle joint has anyone experienced this?
The conti are a 50 plus the addition of progesterone. So you’ll be on the double estrogen then. Wonder if you’d be better off with the 25 patch continuously and utrogestan tablets to add in for the last two weeks (if you get a two week before period, I never do). B vitamins help with pregnancy sickness so those might help you. I’ve been really nauseous this cycle too but my multi vitamin that has mega dose of b vits in yesterday did help (I haven’t been taking it like an idiot).Someone please help me. I've been taking the evorel 50 for almost 2 weeks. I've felt sick as a dog so the Dr has changed me to the 25. But it says take for only 2 weeks of each cycle then. But with the evorel sequi you got the conti ones too. The GP said to me about taking the conti after 2 weeks but the instructions differ. I'm fecking confused & getting fed up with these GPs not explaining properly.
Buy the dipsticks and test yourself, if you have a bad infection you can push for a referral.I’m 41 and been on HRT patches for over 2 months now. Visited GP due to various symptoms and went nearly 70 days without a period. Blood test showed FSH of 54, which is classed as menopausal range. I wouldn’t say the patches are a miracle, but they’ve definitely helped a lot! Hot flashes vanished completely, my eyes are less dry and my sleep has improved a bit.
One issue I’ve recently had is a suspected uti that started early September. A dip stick test was done that showed nitrates (sign of infection) and I was given antibiotics. Urine culture sent to lab showed “mix culture” (I.e. contaminated sample) and therefore inconclusive. Improved a bit after antibiotics but then symptoms returned. Was given another course of antibiotics without a urine test. Again, felt some improvement, but not fully and still suffering. Contacted GP again who told me the one urine test I had done showed no confirmed infection and therefore she thinks I have urogenital atrophy due to perimenopause and blamed it on that. I don’t agree! I am convinced I have an infection - I know my body. Don’t know how many times I’m peeing, but maybe 30 - 40 times a day (and night)! I also keep getting a sharp stinging pain in my urethra. GP prescribed vaginal estrogen, which I’m giving a go, as I’ve read it’s good to take anyway, but it’s not sorting these symptoms. There was no offer of another urine sample, she just tried to fob me off with having atrophy. Anyway, I told her I want another urine culture doing anyway and took a sample in today.
Worrying thing is I’ve been doing a lot of reading up on it and apparently the NHS urine culture test isn’t fit for purpose and misses a significant number of infections, giving false negatives meaning some women are fobbed off and can suffer long-term. Interesting (and quite shocking) article here: https://amp.12ft.io/https://www.12f...w-uti-urinary-tract-infections-testing-method
If my test comes back negative and I still have symptoms, I’ve found a company that does dna testing and I will have no choice but to pay £189 to get it done. I can’t go on suffering like this. This all started after sex. I used to suffer with cystitis in my early 20s, but haven’t had a problem in years until nowI hope I get the right antibiotics to treat it and then going forwards the vagifem I’ve been prescribed can help this from happening again
