As I often say to my friends, I’m wise as fuck these days but still feel like shit.

I feel the same but I’m in my 50’s, so it’s a a bit easier to handle but I can see how it would affect you been in your early 40’s but yes it’s hard to accept the changesIt's just so hard accepting you are changing. I just don't even look like myself anymore. I feel like iv lost a part of myself. I don't know how to explain. I just look tired, old and saggy. That's how i feel. And my emotions are everywhere too at the moment, I'm finding peri very hard I can't lie. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to myself xx
One of my friends had a period on day 364. To say she was pissed off is an understatement! You’re at a similar stage to me. It’s annoying after a bleed you have to start again to go a year without a period
I can tell when I’m getting a period now as I have a few weeks of mucus and lots of bloating and my night sweats stop. My last period was more of a show.
I know it’s wishful thinkingOnly because I don't want you disappointed but I have been like this four years now. I was a regular every 28 days to being every 17 days, then 44 days, then 19 days etc.
I started HRT two months ago and have just had a two week bleed that was honestly exhausting.
If I don't come back as a man next time God fecking hates me.
Anxious and exhaustedIrritated.
Hi!! I found this thread a couple of weeks ago and my god it was like a light bulb moment!!....I've not had any real signs that I'm "peri" until my period didn't arrive a couple months ago.....for the past couple of years they have varied in length and consistency!! Although normally bang on time, give or take a couple days either side....I am normally very heavy for one full day then light and after day 3, nothing! So when I was reading this thread I discovered I have quite a few symptoms that I have just put down to just being me....really sore hips....horrendous mood swings are just a couple....but the missed period really threw me.....so anyway...I finally started bleeding a wee bit on Monday....I was so relieved because although I've had no bleeding my body has been crying out for a periodIt’s late peri if you have no period for 60 days. I know I‘Ve been in peri for years but my GP didn’t agree that it was possible to be peri in your late 30sthey won’t be able to argue
I agree, the most understanding GP I spoke to was a roughly 30 year old male one, really knew his stuff and listened well. In contrast, there’s a middle aged female one who’s a judgemental cow who talks over you and downplays experiences.I'm always surprised people assume a female GP is a better option for gynae stuff. I've found no difference, some GPs are great, some are shit regardless of what sex they are
