You need to get them to assess your IRON Stores your ferritin and you may have an auto immune disease. Take vitamin D high dose and B vitamins at least.
Get them to test inflammation in your body via a blood test.
I'm requesting all this.

Good Luck xx

I have found 2 hairs appear under my d

Hello Menopause, its tough because we don't just want tablets shoved at us we want to know all about he hormones and look at us as individuals. I'm trying more natural responses as I'm steroids and stuff for other things.
Thank you. I really appreciate that 😘

Why the bloody hell do we need to tell them how to do their job! It's so frustrating!

Amazing. Regular as bleeping clockwork since the start of HRT, only to come on two weeks early two days before I go away.
FFS.
im wondering if I need a dose change tbh, woke up a few times this week dripping with sweat and still have the air conditioning unit at the end of the bed to help me. Also exceptionally ratty, but could be pre break stress I suppose. Need to go for a statins check next month so might mention it to the nurse.

No period for 10 years . Second coil expired a few months ago . Yesterday wiped dark discharge away and today pink !

I have been exercising vigorously for the last week especially since Wednesday… could this have had an impact ? I really don’t want to start having periods again after going so long without having them .

Had my hysteroscopy today.

She did a smear, took a biopsy and removed some Polyps. 1 was very large and she had to chop it up 🤢

I have Adenomyosis and a thickened womb.

She tried to insert the Mirena coil but it wasn't happening. By this time I'd endured well over half an hour of this and had had more than enough.

Results within 2 weeks.

I'm going to request an hysterectomy whatever the results say.

The staff were utterly wonderful but the procedure is invasive. They were forthcoming with the use of LA and Gas/Air but I could still feel parts of the procedure. None of it was agony , the biopsy stung like hell but the anaesthetic takes the edge off it.

I'm glad it's over that's for sure. I'm also glad they've found reason for all this bleeding 🙂

Well done for getting through it and so glad you finally have a reason for the bleeding. A friend of mine has Adenomyosis and the only cure is a hysterectomy. I don't blame you for wanting one as my friend isn't sure and she's still in pain most of the time.

I know a few women who had a hysterectomy, two in their 30's and they said it was the best thing they did as they couldn't go on anymore with horrific periods etc. I also think once you've had your kids it's a no brainer really.

Sorry if this has been asked before. But can anyone recommend decent menopause supplements? I take full dose of HRT, however still feel ridiculously hot at night, no sweats just a very hot temp.

I take evening primrose oil which has completely sorted the night sweats and claims to be good for things like pms.

I thought I'd do an e-consult about my bleeding between periods in case it's not due to peri and is something that requires treatment. Anyway there's no availability for e - consult requests today. I thought the point of e- consults were to avoid that .

Me to! I’ve booked appt but not for two weeks

I’m on the mini pill and don’t get periods but in the last few months keep getting random bleeding. It’s not heavy enough to be a proper period but it’s enough to need a pad. I’m not sure if it’s peri related or not? I also seem to get it a few days after I’ve drunk loads which is odd!

The past couple of cold nights have been luvverly!! Managed to get a (fairly) decent night's kip without waking up in a pool of sweat. Starflower oil (similar to EPO) is also good. Have heard of black cohosh and valerian being useful as well, but be aware you can't take these if you're taking certain blood pressure meds/statins, so check before you buy!

Morning! Today is day 3 of HRT and I can’t believe it, the past 2 mornings I’ve woken up fresh as a daisy, well rested, and feeling happy! I can’t remember the last time I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been hit by a bus and needed to sleep for a week 😱 wtf long may this continue, I might be able to live a normal life and set foot out of the house on a weekend instead of spending it sleeping!!
For ref I’m early 40’s, just started oestrogel and will take utrogestan days 14 -28

Just found this thread! I'm peri, have had 2 periods this year but no other symptoms apart from fatigue, no get up and go, low sex drive and weight gain. I love the lack of periods but would like to deal with the other issues. Is HRT the only option or are their supplements I can take to get my mojo back? If I didn't have a dog who needed walking I wouldn't leave the house!

I always sleep better in winter. Heavy covers and the window open so it's baltic in the bedroom. Amazing (other half does not always agree 😂)

Any of you suffering with extreme insomnia? I literally cannot sleep no matter how tired I am. It's really affecting how I am at work now so need to do something. Don't really want anything on prescription but would try something natural?

I've tried valerian before now and it helped a little. Have you done all the standard stuff that helps? warm bath before bed, get some exercise and daylight during the day, no alcohol or rich food, cut screens for an hour before bed??
