Holy bleeping hell you made my day with this, my friend. As much as I love to say that peak Pep for me was his last year at Bayern/first couple years at City, how amazing did he look with that long, tousled hair as a player?!

Oh I didn’t know you lived there! I was there in the summer and again for the games in December/January. I really rate Manchester. I love the Northern Quarter especially. There’s great restaurants, good museums, the tram is so efficient, and there’s a lot of nice day trips using Manchester as a base (this last time, I went to Cheshire and Durham). I took private tours of the Etihad both times, then one of the CFA. Even though there’s more of a “buzz” when you visit the stadium during the season, I liked the summer because I could talk to more people at the club because they weren’t as rushed. There are so many amazing, kind people who’ve worked at the club for decades. And it’s them I feel the most sorry for with all the tit that’s happening.

I know, it’s so pathetic. M&S works with a distributor that ships internationally. The only thing I can’t get shipped are the cakes. I didn’t buy any Percy Pigs this time but I’ve had their fruit gums and they’re so nice.

he was still a young babe but he’s definitely grown into a really handsome man even bald.

I’m very sad my English friend sent me a package but it never came and not sure who to blame - royal mail or usps. I love snacks so I know she sent me some wine gums bc they don’t sell those in usa and crisps from over there. I’ll have to check out m&s. There is a British shop that sells some stuff here over by the beach in Santa Monica. Or amazon sells things but at a premiums obvs.

I don’t know when I’ll go back to England but hopefully next season for some matches. The last time I was in Manchester was eons ago visiting my cousins who live there and the match was a derby and I couldn’t get tickets. I was mostly in London. I’ll change that this tjme

I agree. I heard Harry Dunn (first team tactics analyst) say that people at the club initially assumed when Pep first joined City, he’d stay for maybe four years which was about the length of time he coached Barca and Bayern. They assumed he’d move on to perhaps a club in Italy. But, according to Harry, Pep recently told City that their staff and facilities are better than he’d get at any other club so he wants to stay for at least a few more years. I really hope that’s the case, given his contract extension.

A friend had a little thing going on till she found out he had a long term girlfriend and called it off, him and Laporte are neighbours in the apartments near the printworks.
