Ahhh I didn’t know there was a release today!! I guess it’s Tuesday after all

Parenting Hell for me. My love for Rob Beckett is close to that of Elis and John. Plus Elis and Isy have also been on twice each (maybe listen to them first so you get the vibe before others).

I've also been listening to Help I Sexted My Boss from the start too, an Audio Always podcast so I feel loyal to Dave.

I also listen to Staying Relevant with Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks but I understand how that could be an alternative option given they're reality stars in the first instance

Also find the clips for James and Clair Buckleys podcast amusing but I haven't decided if I want to commit yet.

There is also Distant Pod one of Elis's other podcasts but sadly I found it became too much for me and dropped out over a year ago. So not exactly a glowing recommendation but it IS dead listening to three Welsh men which I don't HATE haha.

On a totally different vibe, they've just released the new series of Jon Ronson's Things Fell Apart, which is fascinating.

I liked the AMAs, which I thought were fun. And I did have sympathy with those that were getting frustrated with the posters asking about the great reset clearly not having searched the group first. But yeah, now it seems like cabin fever has set in

Anyone else think the 6 min ep was absolutely shite and not funny at all? Just me? If it was a pilot/trail for a new pod I’d be giving it a swerve.

I didn’t want to say as the others here seemed very excited but I was totally underwelmed and zoned out after the second declaration. If it was improv (and half the length), it may have been funny but it was too scripted to work.

Things can only get better….

So... I was thinking (and believe me I hope I'm wrong).

The "Great Reset" advert was very John heavy (we've generally said its not a great advert for them, and I'm going to guess they know that too, so why wouldnt they have simply recorded it properly when Elis arrived?).

Is there any way at all that they could be doing with the podcast what they do with This Morning... John as the "main host" but with a revolving door of regular "friend of 9the show" co-hosts? Maybe Elis is around for a set regular contracted amount to keep the PCDs happy?

I thought ages ago that they were lining up Lou to come in as Elis missed a few and they were really pushing her for a bit (I know some of you are fans but for me, not in place of Elis).

Elis obviously has other things he's involved in and it just got me thinking if this Great Reset could be the official way of making changes?

I think they are playing very partridge on purpose. John being in charge of all of the committee. Elis being late. John deciding everything. It’s very character act.
I think a lot of people assume they are ‘just being themselves’ when they are professional comedians doing a bit.
I know they have shared personal issues - John more so but they aren’t just 2 men off the street sharing their lives.

No, I think if they were changing it presenter wise, then they would have come out and said so because a new format is the perfect chance to do that. Also Dave had mentioned a photo shoot for the new show with the pair of them which suggests it’s business as usual, just in a different way.

There's no risk of this. It is still being billed as the 'Elis James and John Robins Show'
