Ah, I've got a long drive this evening. Might have to fire up a bit of Ticktock RobinsSorry to go back to Tick Tock Robins but I'm just listening to it as I'm on a walk today as I needed cheered up (and given I was pissing myself laughing just at the intro I made the right choice) but got to the bit where theure calling him on the train and I was reminded of this cracker...
"Everyone just thinks you slept in or got confused by cereal".
Actual. Tears.

This isn’t helping. That chest!
OMG I had the EXACT same dream!Had a mad sex dream about JR last night. No one likes hearing other people’s dreams so it’s behind a spoiler. I just need to get it out of my system!
It started with John planting basil in a field whilst drinking AF beer. I think it was some sort of theatre performance/one man show. I was chilling with the lovely robin and we discussed how proud we were of him. LR then told me I should be on naked attraction because I have lovely knees, and he was sure the rest of me would be top tier too. (Note: I have horrendous body image issues and will probably discuss this part with my therapist).
The dream went off on a tangent about a biography being released about my family and no one admitting to writing it. I called JR in tears because I was devastated about some of the content. I met him in the local Waitrose to discuss further where he was buying the ingredients for base gravy, and I asked him if I could give him a hug.
We hugged for minutes. Then….it went further. He made me finish whilst in the ice cream section (?!) and then drank brine from a jar of olives.
If you’ve read all this I can only apologise but, like I said, I needed to get it out of my head because it was truly unhinged.
The thought of Dave having a Google alert that directs him to Tattle
Apart from the ones they host themselves, which podcasts have Elis and/or John been on? I usually find new podcasts by searching for guests I like, and listening to their episodes (my go-to favourite podcast guests are Greg Davies, Tim Key, Alex Horne, Elis and old Jonny JR), so it would be cool to find any I have missed out on. Recommendations would be appreciated!John´s on Kathy Burkes ´ Where There's A Will, There's A Wake´ podcast this week, Elis wrote him a eulogy which is very funny!
Elis has been on Parenting Hell a xouple of times (as has Isy). He was a parenting hell legend in the lockdown era. Definitely recommend listening to those.Apart from the ones they host themselves, which podcasts have Elis and/or John been on? Elis has been on Quickly Kevin Will He Score (co hosted by Josh Widdecombe) a few times - chatting nostalgic football etc. I am not a big football fan but it’s one of my favourite podcasts. They did a series reading the crime novels of Steve Bruce with Ivo Graham that I just loved. I think maybe Jon has done an episode too?Apart from the ones they host themselves, which podcasts have Elis and/or John been on? Yeah listening to podcasts you do get the impression the whole London comedy scene is very small! Especially with that 'generation' of comedians who came up together.Great recommendations - thank you! Sounds like the podcasting community is all quite inter-related.
I've recently become a big fan of Ivo/Evo Graham, so will also seek out anything he has done now too
Aren't they all with Avalon or something? It always seems to be the exact same set of comedians who do every comedy programme on Dave, etc etc.Yeah listening to podcasts you do get the impression the whole London comedy scene is very small! IIRC, John and Elis are with M&C Saatchi, Josh and John Richardson are Off the Kerb and then Avalon still has a huge roster (including their handover pal Adrian). It definitely is the same faces popping up all the time which I find a bitAren't they all with Avalon or something? Then they get to write their own (rubbish*) sitcom, then they release a (crap**) book... it all gets a bit tedious sometimes. I'm glad that John never quite seems to be as 'successful' as them, because then he'd be indistinguishable from them all.***
