I don’t know why they didn’t have the contingency as a much later date (next week) at the rowing lake after the rowing events. Making it a duathlon is rubbish for those who are strong swimmers.

There is no way the water is going to be ok tomorrow.

Is there any logic that putting the women in the water 1st might aggregate & dilute the water of any nasties....🤷‍♀️
If swimming is one of your stronger disciplines then its not an ideal situation.

They should just scrap it entirely. The river is far too polluted and they shouldn’t have spent millions or risk athletes lives just for a photo opportunity
