When Josh told the train story I thought absolutely good on him. Bless him. When Rob told his absolutely (what I'd imagine to be) bog standard "where's Romesh" encounter I thought he was moaning over not a lot, then when he encountered the same man later on who sounded like he was just being nice to Rob after a slightly stressful situation - I thought Rob sounded like an absolute gob. How he thought it was any way similar to Josh's encounter is beyond me.

I thought exactly the same. The poor bloke wasn't being intrusive, Rob was being a nob.

Rob being a fool about the very people who provide him with the need to be at the airport in the first place.

Exactly 🤣 Tell you what, if I got to sit and chat to my mate once a week, and go off to different countries with another for work, then I’d be willing to be a bit more approachable when someone comes and tries to be funny 😂

Was Rob always a bit of a gob? I seem to remember him being alright once upon a time. Now he's a complete tool. I don't know how Josh stands him...well apart from 🤑

I think he's got worse as his career has picked back up after covid times. I smiled to myself when Joe complimented Hannah on putting so much effort into feeding their daughter that she now eats everything. Rob was uncharacteristically quiet in response to that!

They way he cut in and talked over Josh about kids presents "so what you need to do to get a reall labubu is enter this raffle right..." As if josh gives two people.

But Rob has spoken before about how they buy whatever the 'in' toy is in bulk (nice to be able to afford it) and then dole them out as bribes. His kids must be so spoilt. I don't get that vibe from Josh when he talks about his kids, privileged yes - ie 2 birthday celebrations but I thought it was lovely that they still did one with the 'london' friends as she's recently moved to Exeter.

Rob is just completely out of touch with reality. I can't get over Lou writing a book about being the default parent... It's not like she works full time (or at all?) so obviously the parent with the most free time takes on the brunt of the family admin especially when the other one is off earning thousands on tour. Kind of hope her book flops but assume lots of podcast listeners will buy it 🤷🏽‍♀️

I noticed that too- ‘what you wanna do is feed them plain pasta’ 😆

People who spoil their kids never realise that that's what they're doing!
He’ll address it by saying it’s his working class background, giving them what he didn’t have, blah blah blah. I’m a spoilt brat- guess what? My daughter hears no a lot more than I ever did! 😆

To be fair to Rob regarding the airport story, how is he going to bring up two entitled little brats without showing them how to be rude to people who are just trying to make conversation?

Wonder what Lou does when people stop him, wonder if she’s just as rude, or whether she understands these people gave her her default parent status? 😂

In this week's 'normal for the times' episode they ruminate on what their kids might disagree with about their parent at the moment. Hopefully his girls will realise being spoilt probably doesn't help them long term but who knows? 🤪 They might also ask why they got taken to Florida 3 times a year for their whole childhood

I’m spoilt, but we didn’t get Disney, or Sky TV! The two most lusted after things in my life 😂

My daughter is definitely more spoilt that me and i think she has a lovely life - but she's never been to Disney and probably never will because that is not where i choose to spend my precious annual leave.

Mines only little so I’m fully appreciating the simple things that she asks for like a pyjama day, or picking up her cousin from nursery😍 I’d love to do Disney, because I wanna go myself, but once a year (lifetime!) should be enough 😂

Not sure if there’s any fellow Wolf & Owl listeners here…but Romesh shared his views on getting asked for pictures/spoken to on the end of the most recent episode and he’s really quite spot on I think. And arguably he’s better known than Rob!

I’ve sounded like I’ve grumbled about them, but I do like them both- the last episode of the pod had me giggling- alone- on a bus and in the street😂 Just the little things, about leaving kids alone in chalets, or Josh’s school run 😂

I like wolf and owl but couldn’t cope with the cringe deep advice/chat thing that Tom does/did it the end. Rom is so much cleverer than Tom that it sometimes had a Lily Allen - Miquita vibe to me although haven’t listened for ages so might be different now.
