She’s got the luxury of both their families nearby, and they can afford help! I know money doesn’t help everything but I’d rather be in her position than them both slogging away mon to fri 9-5 and juggling childcare and all the logistics! And less holidays!

If they were both working standard jobs with annual leave, they wouldn’t be able to afford half the holidays they have, or have the time off to take them. She’s very ungrateful for the life she has. In her book, she started by talking about how early after their first child was born that Rob went back to work but she had her parents on tap so she was never flying solo at all. Not everyone has the luxury of supportive parents.

Cheeky Michael in the fine print 🤭

Also - for once I actually enjoyed Lou's input with her voice note at the end. The chaos was very relatable and the dog escape was the icing on the cake !
The thing is, she could have more of an enjoyable input as she sometimes seems quite likeable when she’s not griping for gripes sake. Then other times I just think, ‘I would not like you if I knew you in real life’ 🤣

This is what gets to me the most when I hear stories of “how hard“ it is even though they have grandparents on tap for whenever they want to go out on a date night, have a cheeky weekend away or just be on hand when life gets a bit tough! I lost my mum when my eldest was 1 year old and my husbands parents lived in another country (both dead now too) so I have always envied people who have family close by to help out when needed 😢

Same. My mum lives ten miles away but has never even done a school run or been to watch a sports day let alone taken the children out or babysat. Boys now old enough to be left alone but it still hurts not to have had the support or love. I would have killed for any one of the three things Lou has: a loving, hands on partner, a supportive parent or a ton of cash.

Ugh, Lou has now done an ad for Paw Patrol land at Chessington, aren’t their girls a bit old for that? Pisses me off when the families who get paid days out are the ones who take multiple trips away each year already.

It pisses me off, the more famous you get the more you are given . Not just the Becketts, look at all the film stars and the ridiculous bags of goodies they get for attending events .

Josh never seems to have paid-for holidays does he.

Things like repeat free holidays should be donated to charity imo. The celeb can still endorse the company or holiday on their socials.

I really hope we see the tide turn soon with all of this stuff. It's so wrong giving rich people freebies. It makes me lose respect for the company and the person taking the freebie. Pure greed from Rob and his family.

Do you know, it’s never really bothered me. I think it’s tit, but I’ve always been like ‘ah well, it’s advertising. Doesn’t work for me, but it must work for some’
BUT the last couple of years where it’s been shoved down our throats with the big music events that they’ve (and by they, I mean celebs/influencers in general) been able to attend because of connections they have, and not just because it’s something they can afford, it’s really started gripping my tit.
Take the fact that Rob’s children were able to see Taylor Swift not once, but TWICE! And it wasn’t because him or Lou were lucky when they were in a queue on Ticketmaster for hours, it’s because Rob’s able to call his manager and she’s able to go down routes that aren’t available for all.
I spent hours trying to get tickets for my daughter, just like thousands of other people. Same with Oasis.
it would be easier to swallow if it was because of a friendship or connection with the artist, but when it’s just a perk of being well known (as if the money and the fact you are doing a job you love wasn’t enough) it really winds me up!

Lapland UK tickets were harder to get than Oasis tickets last year 🤣 They’re another one I really like but begrudge going when I see all the celebs are there in one weekend! Imagine if part of the contract of getting a freebie included having to say yes to speaking and having photos with members of the public! 🤣

I have PTSD from attempting to book Oasis.

so much so that I’ve got front row tickets for like 4 comedians recently because I’m so hyped up to get on the booking system now. 🤣

Oasis really ducked me off because I've been to see them twice years ago and couldn't get tickets, there was 5 of us trying to get them and none of us did, then loads of people I know who have genuinely never mentioned them before went! Still not over it

I got imposter syndrome from people like you🤣- had to remind myself that no, I wasn’t aware of them when I was 8, but since ‘98… I can call myself a fan! My mate on the other hand, never ever mentioned Oasis and was excited to get tickets!!? I mean, it was a great gig like…

Does anyone else listen on apple podcasts and did it just cut out randomly around 35 minutes? Went onto Spotify and it was a much longer episode
