I think Josh is a very natural tv and radio presenter, much more so than Rob. He also comes across really well in interviews.

Its not like hes moving to the middle of nowhere like you lot are making out plenty of people ie the majority of the country manage to bring up their kids out side of London, don’t take it so personally 🫣

I love how some think that anywhere outside London is ‘the countryside’ .

I'm torn about the 'in depth topics'. On one hand, yes - it's a little painful to listen to people awkwardly dance around subjects. That said, a big reason why a lot of these things don't get spoken about is because people don't know what to say - so they say nothing.

Neither of Josh or Rob are arseholes, so I don't think they'd say anything truly offensive or hurtful even if they were clumsy.

Literally who said I’m getting ‘eggy’ and not enjoying the pod? I merely said I’m getting a bit bored of one particular talking point. Regardless whether he’s acknowledging his privilege or not, it’s fucking boring hearing someone complain about being tired following their stress free Christmas where he’s not had to work or miss out on family time and had 2 holidays.

Oh and also whilst I’m here moaning, if he doesn’t want to be recognised or hassled for photos in M&S on their busiest day of the year then he should use his millions to pay for a home delivery or send Lou to collect it

It’s pathetic the amount of times Josh goes to A & E.
He can get triaged through the 111 service.There are other services he can be referred to by th,even out of hours.
If they feel he needs A& E they would say but .. he doesn’t need to go there to be nebulised and his son ,needed antibiotics!! Fecking hell!
He is tone deaf and this has really wound me up( NHS employee)

I actually stopped listening to the pod a while ago when I was going through a hard time and I just couldn’t bear the moaning. I was wondering about going back to it now that things are better for me but it doesn’t sound like it’s any better. I also felt like Rob in particular was so boastful about his new house and lifestyle and he kept moaning about how rough boys at parties were etc compared to his daughters. I have two sons and I hate that narrative. I agree that boys in general can be more active and rough and tumble but it’s not always the case and the way he went on was just too much.

Maybe I’ll dip into a few of the better celeb episodes and see how I go as I did really enjoy it before and would look forward to listening.

I think you can really sense Rob’s insecurity when he talks down to Josh… Josh doesn’t rise to it, I think he’s more than happy with his situation so doesn’t need to.

I’ve just started listening to yesterday’s one. Rob - ‘the shower in one of my girls’ rooms isn’t working!’ oh my heart bleeds for you Rob Does that mean she has to use another one of your showers?!

My old boss has five bedrooms and bathrooms (there are four of them in the house), and study, a play room and a giant living room and kitchen.

When we started WFH, both he and his wife were home, as we're their kids.

He complained, on a full team call, about not having enough space for them both to work.

OH MY HEART BLEEDS FOR YOU AS I HAVE TO REARRANGE MY ENTIRE LIVING ROOM SO I CAN ACCOMMODATE A DESK. However will you cope!

Another old boss once claimed I couldn't have a pay rise because the business wasn't doing so well.

He'd just bought a brand new BMW. I was on like £15k at the time (first job).

Sometimes I think they say things to be relatable but it really doesn't land.

I agree Josh should wash after exercise but I thought Rob was really overreacting about the watch. Who cares?
Many people wear their watch to bed actually, not just apple watch wearers. I wear my Garmin all the time. For health reasons personally but I also like knowing the time when I wake up in the night without having to move.

Rob is really overbearing at times and trying to put down Josh. Talking over him, calling him names, shaming him for what he likes. Being a bit of a bully actually.

I do get it that it’s annoying when you feel like there’s an unfair balance with household stuff, but there’s something about talking to a grown man like he’s a child that really gives me the ick.

The shoe thing. I don't think ordering multiple of something then sending back the ones you don't want/need is that unusual. For example, how often have people been invited to weddings and ordered a load of outfits to try on?
He also acknowledged that not everyone can do this financially.

I do find his logic a bit odd though. If you're going to trail all the way to the shop to return the ones you don't want, why not just take the kids with you, get their feet measured, and buy the shoes? I know it's not most kids' idea of a fun day out, but I'd say his kids are old enough to understand that these boring jobs need doing sometimes.

I don't think it's the parenting hack Rob thinks it is, and I got the impression Josh agreed.

The ’sexy and relatable’ thing is not really happening- they’ve have lost touch with ‘normal’ life. The sort of life where you work your arse off all year but still only get 25 day’s holiday- so funnily enough can’t take the whole of August off and regularly miss school events

I think they need to prepare a little more for the podcast. For the Tuesday episodes, they should just come with a couple of bullet points of things they want to talk about or have happened to them.

The episodes I find the most difficult to get through or annoying are the ones that feel like they don’t have anything to say - and just say that they’re tired.

I don’t even care if they’re talking points are something that annoyed them on their luxury holiday - but only if they’re funny about it.

Tbh, 80% of the podcasts I listen to are by people who have more money than me or who have “better” lives than I do, so I can’t stop listening just because of that.

Yeah I think they did a terrible job of keeping that quiet can't remember exactly what it was but they made it quite obvious on the podcast!
