I saw Robs stand up in 2022(?), it was good, I enjoyed it. He did repeat some stuff that was said on the podcast though, I remember telling my ex that I’d relistened to the episodes close to our birthdays (random I know but when I run out of stuff to listen to, I go for Xmas, Easter esps, etc)

I didn’t book to see Josh but I regret not (my ex liked Robs standup and not Josh🙄.) He had trouble selling tickets in my town and I checked the seats closer to the time, there wasn’t many sold at all. They sold so bad I saw he done a video for the venue facebook page. Just checked and he’s coming back next month. There’s still a fair few seats available, I doubt I’d book to see him as I’d be going alone but I still have time to change my mind😂

Enjoyed today’s episode, and kudos to Josh for not cancelling the shows that clashed with his moving date! That move sounded very stressful!!

I saw Rob earlier in the year and really enjoyed. I always find him funniest when he’s chatting and comes up with quick one liners though.
Booked to see Josh next year and I’m sure that’ll also be great. I’d love to see them do another Parenting Hell tour as I only just started listening around the time of the last one.

edited to add: I also really enjoyed the moving tapes. I laughed so loudly in my car at a set of traffic lights, that a random pedestrian stopped and looked in to check on me! 🤣

I saw Rob with my husband, my friend and her husband. They husbands don’t listen to parenting hell but Rob’s humour is pretty universal I think! We all enjoyed it. I would like to see Josh too. I didn’t listed to the pod when they did the PH tour. I’d definitely go see that if they did it again

I was pleasantly surprised by Robs stand up show, I've never been a huge fan of his stand up but really enjoyed his show earlier in the year. We have tickets to Josh in November which I'm really looking forward to, I always think he is the more professional and polished stand up out of the two.

I've seen Rob twice and enjoyed the first time far more. The second time i felt it was very adlibbed - which he has mentioned on the pod. A large part of the show was focussed on a woman in the audience who had gone out to take a phone call - Rob insisted on speaking to her partner on the phone and having a conversation about their bathroom tile choices. It was funny to a point but I'd rather have proper material.

Going to see Rob tonight does anyone know if there’s a warm up act or any idea of times?
Your question jogged my memory of he and Josh discussing tour support for their respective tours. I'm sure he said he doesn't have any this time and Josh was joking that its because he wants more of the fee for himself. If I remember correctly I think he said it makes it a late night for everyone rather than if he just goes on straight away. I could be completely wrong though 😅

I couldn’t remember if that was them or another podcast 😂😂

Really enjoyed today's episode. I hate watch MAFS UK but love Paul so much and he came across as a nice chap.

I noticed this mornings episode was ‘delayed’ from the actual episode so they popped an alternative on whilst they resolved it… I wonder if it was to allow for the book announcement?

I won’t be buying it, but I slightly admire Lou for trying to help & do bits & bobs like going to Downing St about child safety & stuff more than I folk like Rosie Ramsey who have piggybacked into their partners career to earn a few bob doing TV rit.

(I know this might earn Lou a bit but I hope you know what I mean)

i was always the default parent for quite a few years. Very different lifestyle from the Becketts. For instance we didn't have the means to pay for anyone to collect from school and do their tea etc, we didn't have any supportive family around, we didn't have the cushion of wealth, we didn't have several 5-star holidays a year and weekends away with girlfriends. We just lived a very quiet life surviving on not a huge amount of a money.

Sorry if that sounds sour - i don't' mean to be or to put Lou down. I just don't know if some women realise what a position of privilege they speak from.

That’s pretty much how I feel - I’m the default parent, but without the ability to not work, live a fairly lavish lifestyle AND time away from the children, both as a couple and alone. And I’m not alone in that. I don’t see what she’s trying to do?
and she absolutely IS riding on her husbands coat tails, I wouldn’t get a book deal if I went to an agent with the same idea.
Can’t say I judge her for that though.

I’m the default parent, and I make sure my husband knows it 😂. But does that mean I need to write a book about it? Surely it’s just going to be other default parents reading it- so what’s the point? Sometimes I feel she comes across as being quite bitter about it, and it’s become her personality. But I am also aware I am a judgey witch at certain times during my cycle 🤣🤣🤣

Don't think I need to read the ramblings of a privileged white woman on the duality of loving the closeness, feeling trapped, and THE MENTAL LOAD.

All parents live a version of this every day, I don't need a book to feel validated in my feelings about this.
