He's been widely known to be bisexual I think. I must have missed the baby announcement though! Excited to listen to this one.

To be fair, my knowledge of him begins and ends with what I see on 8 out of 10 cats or similar.
I really liked the episode.

Really nice episode! I love to hear from new parents. When I saw it was him I thought it would just be him promoting his new book, so a nice surprise.

What's an ES?
Partner of some sort I assume, but can't work out what ES stands for 🤔
I honestly wish people would stop abbreviations. It’s getting ridiculous. I genuinely can’t work out some posts. Is it that hard to type out the full version? Ffs the phone does it for you pretty much

Not to stick up for MN (😂) but those abbreviations predate that forum. I used to be on some American forums in the early 2000s during the AOL times and they were used. I think they do tend to be much more widely used on Mumsnet though!

These ones I can normally figure out, not a mumsnet user, but have seen them used widely.

The ES one I just couldn't figure out - I'm so glad someone asked. The best I came up with was excellent shagger 😂

Surely quicker to type ‘son’ than capitalise the ES. The ‘eldest’ bit is irrelevant to the point being made anyway.

I'm old and used forums in the early days, the abbreviations predate predictive text and Mumsnet. I used them on the ol' BBC parenting forum <stares wistfully into the distance remembering when it was all fields around here>

I also used to be a prolific user of Mumsnet, before it became the cesspit it is today. Haven't used it for maybe 8 or 9 years now. Some laughs to be had back then <insert wistful stare>

<we did a lot of this too>

(We didn't have Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok etc so had to make our own entertainment 😉)

This has confused me because I actually couldn't remember what AOL stood for and just assumed people still knew what it was 🤣 it's like asking what's Google or Hotmail in my mind, didn't even realise I was old.

Enjoyed today’s episode! Wasn’t too in your face and just fairly normal which isn’t how I’d really go about describing Joe Lycett (in a nice way 😂)

I didn't expect to like todays episode as I'm not a massive fan of his. But it was really good

I enjoyed this ep too, I prefer it when they have their pals on, feels more natural and conversational rather than an interview!

Joe sounds like he’s in a lovely little newborn love bubble 🥰
