I've been reading about the OnlyFans model who wants to sleep with 1000 men in a day and who has just slept with 100 in a day, cried afterwards and said she dissocated but that she's aiming to do 300 in a day soon.

Does it flummox anyone else that these people - I hesitate to say women as there are plently of blokes doing OF as well - would rather go straight to hardcore sex work than even try a "regular" job? Even in the current economy where things are hard I couldn't imagine a world where I'd feel able to do that, or where I would be happy to support any kids of mine who do it as this particular person says her parents are on side.

I come at this from a place of curiosity rather than judgement, it's just so far removed in terms of any way of thinking that I was brought up with. I'm in my 40s and it just makes me ???

There are some good videos on Youtube from OnlyFans models who talk about the dark side of it and how hard it can be to earn even a little bit of money, so those who look at the models who get all the cash and press space and think "I want that" are mostly going to completely fail anyway.

I will be so interested to see twenty years from now how many of the big stars may wonder if the money and fame was worth it.

Depressing but not surprising that people have to do ever more extreme stuff to gain traction for their onlyfans.

If you're someone with a following on social media you could earn a fortune from it, but most earn nothing and this stuff is then on the internet forever.

Even if you're someone like a reality tv star with a following and can make a large amount a month with onlyfans I don't think it's worth it. Look at the sean pratt thread here - he was inviting guys to meet him in hotels and doing all kinda of stuff with dildos. That stuff will never be wiped from the internet even though he's married now and doesn't do much of it anymore. He probably made a couple hundred thousand, but that's nowhere near enough. I can see how it would be tempting as its easy money for little work.

Sorry to quote an old post but I've just gone down the rabbit hole of reading this thread and saw this one. My ex is a photographer and used to do a lot of adult/porn shoots. One time I was round his flat and Hannah came round for a shoot. It seemed so seedy and weird, she was just on the bed in her underwear with him taking pictures, and then filming videos masturbating. On the bed I used to sleep in I can laugh about it now but back then it just seemed so weird. Safe to say we didn't stay together much longer after that. Like you say, that article makes no mention of anything before Only Fans and makes it look all glamorous and like it's a great idea

I just wish OF would stay in its own grubby little corner of the internet. Social media is now flooded with what appear to be workout videos or funny clips that are thirst traps. The worst ones have OFers doing grim things in public, like rubbing themselves against gym equipment and leaving their used knickers on supermarket shelves.

Funny this thread should pop up, heard over the weekend a friend of a friend's daughter still lives at home has had to come clean to her mum that she's been doing Onlyfans because she's just been hit with a £20k tax bill!

I keep hearing how OF creators are top 0,04 or whatever and earn 20k per week but still live in the same flat share lol.
Anyways what annoys me the most is how many of them have to spit this narrative how others are just jealous because they make bank and will retire at 30 while we will work vanilla jobs till we’re 80. I don’t super buy all of them earn that much but mostly just disappointed that nowadays it’s like oh lame you working hard having a career educating yourself, if you were actually smart you’d be doing OF like us and being rich. They want to feel so much better than others which tells me they really don’t. And I don’t even follow OF creators it’s being spit by social media trying to convince me that having OF for few months and I’ll be able to afford a house.

I truly believe at least some of the massive figures claimed by OF creators are actually masking some sort of money laundering.

I think the MLM analogy is probably correct. There are a few OFers making a lot of money, some who are making a decent sideline amount, and a lot who are making very little. When you factor in the time you have to devote to being a succcessful social media personality, the outlay on cameras, ring lights and other AV stuff, their net profits are probably very small indeed. That, and compromising photos online can damage your future career and relationships.

I’ve always said women that are on only fans lie and exaggerate on how much they make only fans is very subscriber lead they have to rely on the subscriber to keep interested in the content that they put out. This is why girls like Lily Phillips and Bonnie blue are going to the extreme to keep subscribers interested
Because it’s subscribe a lead this means the income can be subject to go up and down
also people are lued into a flase sense of security with only fans they assure their users that all their images are perfectly safe on the site and will never be leaked but that’s being proven to be wrong because lots of women’s images have been leaked
Also, anyone can get anyone’s IP address and find out the address of the person before you know it you’ve got a fully fledged stalker door on your doorstep
When you compare it to the lads magazines lads Magazine seem like a better option
I’ve seen some of the pictures of the girls on only fans and they are far from glossy and half of them wouldn’t get on the covers of FHM loaded zoo or nuts because the models that modelled for their magazines had to be agency certified
They had the best hair and make-up team the best photographers and got flown into exotic destinations first class
at least with the lads magazines they got paid by the shoot so you could do a few hours work and get paid 50 to 60 K only fans isn’t quite like that

Also from the males perspective subscribing they are only paying to view one person’s content unless I have to subscribe to more that could be £10 each subscription so it’s not that cost-effective either

That absolutely shocking this is what is happening. They are going to the extreme to keep the subscribers at least if you pose for a magazine you got paid thousands of pounds for a shoot and that was the only fan seems a lot worse.
