Agree. I hope that if there’s any positive to come out of this it’s that Louis and Zayn can rekindle their friendship as they were such genuine friends back in the day and I still see a lot of similarities in them now.The sad reality is something like this was bound to happen. I remember commenting time and time again on here about louis and Liam. While the other 3 have achieved a level of success they are happy with, I've always thought Louis and Liam hadn't. I was concerned for Louis when the reports of him having to drink before gigs and smashing hotel rooms came out. I do think Louis is in a better place in his life now after his second album and tour, and has accepted that the band isnt coming back. I think this situation will bring him closer to Zayn and in a way will help him heal knowing that was one of his mums final wishes
Liam has just spiralled for the past couple of years. Reports of drugs, cheating, abusing people, constantly reminiscing about the band to the point of making it his whole personality and a need for validation. There was a sense of desperation and it's sad that the witness from the hotel (daily mail) noted the same thing
I always said he should take a step back and try something else. Music wasn't working for him and it must've been difficult seeing the success the others were having. He even told Maya that he resented the success harry had, and it should be him. I feel bad for his family
I think they are all damaged in some way by their shared past and maybe Harry just doesn't deal with it as well as the others. He might be media trained but this is very raw for the strongest of personMaybe Harry wants to keep his more intimate, raw feelings for himself, and not share them with the world.
In time he might say more, or write songs, but he doesn't owe any of us his feelings about Liam right now, or ever.
Exactly, they'll probably all be struggling with sorting out their relationships with each other too, they'll all be in the same room soon with the world staring.I think they are all damaged in some way by their shared past and maybe Harry just doesn't deal with it as well as the others. Yes, one of his best friends Matt died by suicide which was caused by a drug overdose in 2016. He included him in the acknowledgments for his Another Man issue and talked about him during Fine Line.People bring up Louis losing his mum sister and now Liam in a short amount of time (which don't get me wrong is devastating and I really feel for him) but hasn't harry lost people as well? Robin and one of his close friends. Zayn lost his grandad in 2010, and in recent years he lost his grandma
Still makes me sad about Jay. She was lovely and always so supportive of Louis
If there is a funeral, it needs to be behind closed doors, no media.Exactly, they'll probably all be struggling with sorting out their relationships with each other too, they'll all be in the same room soon with the world staring.
Not defending him but I think in this case he’s damned if he does and damned if he don’t. If he didn’t post people would be complaining too.Simon has posted something now
He can go fuck himself honestly
I’ve only seen people hoping that he’d keep his mouth shut. Him taking some accountability and realising that the way he overworked the boys when they were literally teenagers has affected them would be great thoughNot defending him but I think in this case he’s damned if he does and damned if he don’t. I don’t disagree, I was simply stating that if hadn’t said anything people likely would have had something to say about it.I’ve only seen people hoping that he’d keep his mouth shut. Him taking some accountability and realising that the way he overworked the boys when they were literally teenagers has affected them would be great though
Jeez have you ever lost someone close and young? Clearly not...I think Harry’s statement can come off as cold and detached due to a few reasons:
1) It wasn’t raw, personal, and intimate like Zayn’s and Louis’ statements. Both Zayn and Louis essentially were talking to Liam, whereas Harry was talking about Liam.
2) It also was polished and edited; Zayn’s and Louis’ statements had grammar errors.
3) Lastly, the overall tone of Harry’s statement is deliberate, polite, and professional, whereas Zayn and Louis took a more casual approach. Zayn and Louis referred to Liam as their brother whereas Harry called him a friend.
I thought Harry’s statement was fine, and it was exactly what I thought he’d put out. Zayn’s statement surprised me in how personal it was. Louis’ statement was raw and intimate and you can feel Louis’ hurt and grief through his statement.
You got all that from a post where I provided reasons as to why some people may find Harry’s statement cold and detached?Jeez have you ever lost someone close and young? Clearly not...
I don’t think Simon was involved as people actually think. SyCo was not just him and plus they had management etc it wasn’t all Simon’s rules. He probably didn’t have much of a say outside of picking singles and songs. I know Sonny Takhar managed a lot of the stuff with Simon being on Tv a lot.I’ve only seen people hoping that he’d keep his mouth shut. Him taking some accountability and realising that the way he overworked the boys when they were literally teenagers has affected them would be great though
