Odd things you liked doing as a kid

I had a game called Dogz 3 on the pc which I was obsessed with.
I use to make revision books of facts about my dogs on dogz3 and give it to my Nan to revise for the week on then on a Friday I would test her on her knowledge of it my poor Nan, she had the patience of an angel.

I also loved playing with teddies and made my teddies audition to be in a teddy performance of Jesus Christ superstar which I then made my parents watch.

Me and my friends used to be a spice girl each and dance on the raised slabs in my friends garden pretending we were on stage also we used to play with her perfume making station and pretend we were making potions like in charmed

I used to walk around with a mirror held beneath my chin, so then it was like I was walking on the ceilings. I used to “step” over the doors because in the mirror it’d look like there was a step but there actually wasn’t.

I bet my parents thought I was a right head.

OMG I loved this game! Everybody used to think I was such a weirdo...

I had Dogz, Catz & Babyz! Hours of fun!
Would pile all our pillows on the floor & jump off the top bunk

We had one of those deepish paddling pools & would play 'Washing Machine' where everyone would run around the edges & it made like a whirlpool effect when you sat down

Crack The Egg on the trampoline, one person would sit with their knees pulled up and hands clasped around their legs , everyone else would aggressively bounce until the person would 'crack' and let go of their hands/legs, winner was whoever lasted longest.

Headstand competitions

My friends & I would play Holby City in the playground!

Would stand in people's way & make them guess a password to get through which infuriated my family

I used to wear my nana’s bifocals and walk around the house like Frankenstein with my arms out because everything looked so weird and distorted.

My friends and I would make up our own radio show recording ourselves talking about random rit. We had scripts and all. I remember it caused a big fall out at one point over who was saying what part. We were 10 but we took it very seriously.

If we didn’t have a sled we would make our own using bin liners to slide down the hill when it was snowy.

I would make my Barbie dolls go on dates with my little brother’s Action Men. I also used to braid Dr. X’s one little chunk of purple hair which annoyed my brother.

My best friend and I used to pretend a witch lived in a hole in the ground in a big stretch of land behind our houses and we used to bring her stuff, and if the items were gone the next day the witch had obviously taken them.

I used to eat soap, but by rubbing it on a wet flannel and sucking it. I did this in secret so my parents never worked out that I was massively iron deficient.

I liked to play Post Offices with forms I'd taken from the actual post office (sorry, Post Office).

I used the Ikea catalogue to plan out the cafe I would run when I grew up. I'd design the layout, work out the costs, develop menus, everything. I worked in Sainsburys cafe for 3 months when I was 17 and that was the end of that dream.

I had Pica as a kid and would eat the wallpaper and would satisfy my urges by squeezing myself behind the sofa and gorging. I remember getting a big bollocking because my parents rearranged the living room one day to find a sofa shaped missing area of wallpaper. As I got a bit older and we moved into a new build nearing my teens it turnt into stealing a screwdriver and chiselling out pieces of wall to eat. I had a friend my age that lived a few doors down that “ate new wall” too, we became wall eating buddies and we would sit there eating it in each others bedrooms.

My sister was just pure disgusting - she really enjoyed those Bernard Mathews Turkey Drummers a bit too much - to make a point of how much she liked them she would dip them into the cats litter tray, down the toilet, in the bin and other dirty places before biting into them.

Was obsessed with Enid Blyton's The Faraway Tree series as a child. I used to spend lots of time at my grandparents house during the summer. They had a huge garden where I would spend hours pretending that I had found a magical tree and was visiting various "lands" from the book.
Sometimes I would ignore my grandmother calling me inside because I was visiting one of those lands and couldn't hear her

Then I would tell all about my adventures to my mum in the evening and also show her random things like stones, leaves or twigs as proof of my visit to the magical lands.

We used to play “posh ladies” and my character was called “shiela townsend” we used to recreate scenes from the 70s film of Jesus Christ Superstar and I was always Pilate.
we had an old phone and used to play vets receptionists for hours.
we used to sit in a burnt out car in the church car park and look at the porn mags that were ALWAYS in the bushes.
we used to write ancient curses and squash red spider mites on them to look like blood and leave them around to scare people
our mate was called Bernard and we used to play hospitals and he was always called Dr Bernardo
we used to tape record ourselves making adverts for crisps and all sorts of things
i once pulled my dads curtains down new rail and all where I’d wrapped myself in the curtains warbling away pretending to be Demis Roussous
when I was in the top year at primary we used to play Grease really seriously. We all had our characters and would stay in character for what felt like months. I was always Marti

I watched the karate kid two many times as a kid,one day I got a bandage and made a headband of it and drew the design on it with felt tip pens and went down the shops wearing it,I got a few funny looks from people and a confused old lady asking me if I had a nasty fall.

Tipping the paddling pool over in the Summer and making 'mushy grass' that I would run around in.

Making beds for my teddies by stuffing tissues in between two bits of paper and glueing it shut with a little bed.

Collecting TY bears.

Pretending to be a dog in Habbo Hotel and getting adopted.

I enjoyed making potions out of wet mud, stones, grass etc in a bucket in the garden, and pretend I was a witch, stirring it with a stick.
