He feels unfulfilled because he does sweet f a for others. That message was all me, me, me. He needs to go volunteer for something and actually do some physical work. Like a working bee, planting native trees or cleaning an elderly person’s yard, working to clean up his kids’ school, etc. things that aren’t glam for instagram and that he can’t palm off on others.
He spends all his time begging for freebies and thinking about himself. If he genuinely learned to think of others and do more for others he would be more fulfilled.

He's after head pats (just like Simone does) and engagement. When NZ is suffering in so many ways, "poor" Christian is not happy with his life and chooses to tell everyone so they can commiserate with him
