Not directly about Chloe but I think I've going to have to unfollow a few "bookstagrammers". I like reading and love when I'm so engrossed in a book that I forgo tv, I stay up later than I should to get another chapter read. But I'm finding that bookstagrammers getting multiple books read every week is overwhelming me when I'm struggling to find the time to get a chapter or two read, to concentrate.

Squeeze in a read....while your child is in full-time crèche?
Who is this event aimed at?! It's almost patronising. I don't need tips from her on how to squeeze in a read between my full-time job and being a mother to my two smallies, from someone who is at home all day at nothing but photographing free flowers and making eyes at her mugs.

There's some controversy over that author they went to hear last night as well? Saw it on the stories of an American girl I follow who also reviews books. He lied about having cancer apparently.

Little dig today about tattle. Why make it so easy then, Chloe? You ditch your kid every day to sit on your ass and don’t declare ads 🤷‍♀️

As far as I know she has something underlying medical (that's her business) and is on a career break and I'd assume her child is probably in creche for socialising.
I do like her, I find her book reviews interesting, she's not afraid to speak about a social issue. Loved her content when she was in NYC, would be interesting if she did content like that in Dublin too. They must be doing well if they've been able to buy a house in Dublin on his salary.

Not her lecturing all of us plebs about supporting problematic authors, when she went to the launch of a book last week by an author who lied about having cancer! And her a "cancer survivor" herself. She's a melt!View attachment 2799706
Love the smug selfie that she obviously felt added her her post!

I think her thread is very reasonable and fair. Nobody is bashing her here for the sake of it. Following the ASAI rules would instantly halve have the things we have to talk about here!! If she's that upset she knows what to do.

So this one now labels her freebie books as #gifted after being called out here, but she still can't label her discount codes/affiliate links correctly as '#ad' 😡

And no, Chloe, hiding af within the white affiliate link box isn't allowed, and neither is using 'af' at all. But you know all this. Reported.

Chloe has never been to a march. Period. She’s too busy reading books and dumping her kid somewhere
And that's fine, but don't use a patronising tone to lecture the rest of us about going. Her and her soapbox. I had to laugh the other day with her pointless story about going to bed and then posting something else and saying "Clearly I didn't go to bed!". No one fuckin cares Chloe, ya melt!

More free flowers. And another library event with Tired Mammy telling us how to read 🙄

I think someone said this already, but why does she call childcare 'preschool' out of term? That really annoyed me. It's like justifying sending her child to creche in summer when she's off doing feck all.

That really annoys me about her, when she comes on saying something and then going on about how don't dare message her  I do like her insta though mostly however I feel she's a bit dishonest when it comes to reviewing books by Irish authors. I got a book on borrow box that she recommended and she said she couldn't leave it down, it was absolute tripe.

What do people think about her advertising products recently but 'it's not an ad'? She's at it again today with those toddler plates.

The company send her free products and she shares a discount code, but says she's not being paid to advertise so it's not an ad? I've seen her do this type of thing many times this year. Surely it is an ad, if you're getting free items and possibly payment when people use your discount code?? Surely she should be marking these stories as #ad? I'm sure she wouldn't be featuring these products if she hadn't got sent freebies.

The thing that bugs me about her is that she always feels the need to lecture people but then says it's not her place to lecture people?! This air she has that she's better than everyone. And yeah, the smug selfie just sets it all off!! Obviously she's well able to separate art for artist when free wine is involved...morals go out thr window 🤣

Do you know who I like from that whole book crew? Aoife Cassidy. She's the one who talks about religion in schools. She's definitely in with the other two but I feel like she has her own mind. And her book reviews are so honest, sometimes too honest! 🤣 She does read a bit high Brow though!

Filming in the hospital again today. Is it the first time she's actually said it was cancer she had last year? I wish her well, of course, but these types of stories are attention seeking, and if you're not open to people asking you about your experience I do think it should be kept off social media. People on SM only know about her cancer in the first place because she told us.

The “himself” talk makes me sick 🤢
Same! I'm not sure what's worse, that or Mr Fancypants. Is anyone getting really tired of the incessant talk about Palestine? I 100% agree it's important to speak on it, but each to their own. Some people like Fancypants have made it their entire personality, and I hate when she lectures about speaking about it, or calls out accounts not talking about it. But yet it's fine for her to show us her tulips? I follow many accounts for information on Palestine and what's going on, reporters in Gaza, news outlets etc. But this notion that every "influencer" needs to completely change their profile so they look knowledgeable on the subject is beginning to grate.

Four more stories today advertising Harper Collins books, with no #ad or anything at all to indicate they're ads. Cheeky!
