Oh no it is. I don’t think I’ve explained properly. What happens is social services are alerted as it comes under information sharing in order to safeguard. And again only happens if the doctor knows the parent has young children and is not coping with mental health. 90% of the time social services don’t even make contact with the parent as it’s not necessary, it’s just an alert. If there is a lot of significant history or abuse in the home then the referral is actually opened and actioned.

You can’t read can you ? Cs are always made aware by GP if the parent has young children and presents are struggling. They are made AWARE. action is NOT taken.
