I think this may be the first recorded incident of Farage telling the truth and admitting that he has no bloody clue about anything.

Excellent idea. Get our worst criminals out of the country and make more space to lock people up here for longer.
Do they have one original idea currently?

I’m sure this is appealing to their voters but it’s embarrassing how blatantly he is copying US politics - especially as I’m sure Labour was floating the idea of using off shore prisons not that long ago?

Stop the boats? 🙄
I wonder how long it’ll be before he comes up with the totally original idea of turning the Isle of Wight into Alligator Alcatraz?
If he’s really that bothered about sex offenders he can start with these two.

Where is the money going to come from?
this is his whole policy design, say something controversial, not remotely precedented or legal, but plays to his base who wont question the logistics. That are incredibly expensive. The magic money tree returneth!

He's doing this because there are a few new policy announcements and practices in this area and he doesn't want to seem behind the curve

Some commentary about the conference on todays Quiet Riot podcast,

It's noticeable that outside of the usual culture war stuff, the bits in Farage's speech about taking an axe to the welfare bill and tax cuts for billionaires went down very badly with delegates.
Add into that his plans to replace the NHS with private heathcare and you wonder how he's managed to coast for as long as he has purely on anti migrant sentiment.

Reform also has a major problem in attracting candidates. Hence anyone previously rejected by their (not exactly stringent) vetting process is being encouraged to reapply.
And it's an open door for any Tories who want to jump ship, despite concerns from members that Reform was meant to be an alternative to the Tory party, not just a way of rebadging them.

Add to that their inability to distinguish between "free speech" and hate speech and conspiracy theories and there's any number of ways this could all unravel for Farage if the media actually pull their fingers out and do their ¤¤¤¤ing job.

Why is it ok for the media to hold the Labour government to account (fine when it’s justified), but not for them to look into Nigel’s dodgy past? No one should be exempt from scrutiny and if he wants to be PM him and his intellectually challenged supporters needs to accept this is going to happen from now on. If he has nothing to hide then he has nothing to worry about does he?
