I think you'll find that Bradford, in times gone by, was a key centre for commerce and trade (where the Yorkshire Penny Bank was founded amongst other things). You only have to look at the buildings in Bradford and visit Undercliffe Cemetery to understand the cultural heritage of Northern towns and cities that you are quite quick to undermine because you don't think it important. In the last 15 years, Bradford has exhibited Dante Rosettis art - the Pre-Raphaelite movement, leading to Arts & Crafts is a significant piece of British culture. Civic pride is a part of our culture, why are you so keen to downplay these things - why don't they matter?

btw, i live in Bradford and can tell you that I am often the only white English speaking person on the bus, and the worst areas for crime, deprivation, drugs, etc, are where there are high levels of immigration. Where there is no integration, culture dies. Assimilation is not integration. And the food - which a lot of people can't see beyond - aint that great...
I'm not undermining them and I'm not sure where you got that bit from to be quite honest; I used them as examples as I've either lived there or have friends who live there, hence why they sprung to mind. Have you had 'high tea' in the past and seen it fade out because of migration? Fair play if you have, but it's not something I've experienced. I'm asking if these landmarks have changed in recent years in response to migration, not denigrating the fact that they exist and indeed you've agreed with me - country houses aren't the forefront of these cities and that hasn't changed because some people have moved here. Civic pride can sit alongside housing people escaping dreadful situations, it doesn't have to be either or.

Why do you think that people who have migrated are housed in the same areas? Do you think it might possibly be down to (as mentioned before) unscrupulous private landlords renting HMOs and councils? Certainly where I live they house migrants in the same area, which I don't particularly agree with as I think it discourages integration.

Gosh I do need to cleanse my YouTube history, I’m now getting BNP ads 😂
But this one has FLUFFY at the beginning as one of the good guys saying he welcomes immigration!! So cut from different cloth ;)
Trigger warning: some racism/stereotypes

Oh look, there he is, lending his support to hunting. What a 'hunt' indeed.

So I’m against fox hunting, but it’s not cut and dry monstrous. It helps control the fox population ( foxes in the wild weak enough to be caught and chased often meet horrible ends anyway such as being slowly eaten alive by other animals over a matter of days instead of being chased and killed in a matter of minutes) and creates local jobs rurally.

Not the biggest fan though

It's really awful - grim on the dogs as well as the foxes. I hunted a couple of times as a child (before I knew better). The dogs get trodden on & maimed by horses & they're bred to get the fox no matter what - we've had them tangled up in barbed wire on my folks' farm before, ripping themselves to shreds to get going again. Some threw themselves across a major road one year & got hit by cars... they're not socialised properly so they can't be pets - when they're too old to run anymore they're taken out & shot. There have also been cases of them mistaking cats for prey & ripping them to bits. And that's before getting to the fox & being chased to death, which is a very inefficient way of control. Don't get me wrong - foxes are arseholes - they poo everywhere and eat my chickens - but there are better ways of killing them off or getting your jollies on Boxing Day.

Oh gosh that’s eye opening 😮 I agree, there’s better ways of killing them off

You’re obviously a country person as you have chickens so your opinion’s interesting.

I don't think there's any excusing a load of people getting dressed up and treating killing animals as some sort of jolly social occasion, it's so very grim and speaks volumes for their character. I can't even imagine a situation where I'd find pleasure in watching them be ripped to bits, regardless of how much of a nuisance they are.

He's a bleep going killing animals for fun and it's disappointing. I see it as I'm in the country  the worst thing many of these people are very nice otherwise.

The narrative that Farage espoused was that immigration brought in passive scroungers that came here to use up all our resources and 'free' services. The fact is that since Brexit we've seen that that wasn't the case; immigrants were *running* our services. Brexit has made waiting lists on the NHS even longer because the immigrant NHS staff had to leave. The hospitality industry has collapsed because the chefs and waiting staff had to leave. Etc etc.

Yeah but I’m sure we would have made do without immigrants in such huge amounts. They take up a hell of a lot of housing and resources and it’s got even worse
We’ve had this discussion though 🐶
