That’s what I’m trying to say 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 AliExpress & Alibaba supply businesses, SHEIN is a retailer who buy their stock off these Chinese websites and private label it with their own brand name. DDCTD has been caught buying off the retailer (SHEIN) and cutting their labels off and making the products their own. If they were buying it off AliExpress or Alibaba it would be different because they are coming directly from the Chinese suppliers/factories
Aliexpress/alibaba and Shein are ultimately all the same thing. I’m not sure why you’re dying on this hill as ultimately it doesn’t make a difference.

The label is redundant as well, as Shein just purchases from the same factories that aliexpress/alibaba does, they just add in their own label. It’s possible for a supplier to ALSO be a retailer/manufacturer.

A boutique owner has a few options to get supplies - they can go to industry events where these suppliers from around the world (usually linked to the factory or who have bought from the factory) will display products and the boutique owner can place an order with them.

They might just contact them online and order direct.

OR, if they are higher end and more reputable, they’d commission designs, draft samples and mock-ups and send a final order to a factory/supplier of their choice.

OR they can simply buy in bulk from a supplier catalogue - another buisness, a wholesaler perhaps. Shein is a brand name and so it isn’t legal to sell their goods with a different label, but the products will be the same being sold on the Ali sites.

Worth noting that Shein started off as a dropshipping company itself, and sourced it’s products from a Chinese wholesale market.

So whether the influencer orders from Shein/aliexpress isn’t really the point - because who really cares here if Shein’s intellectual property is infringed upon?

The main qualm is that the “buisness owner” in question is marketing the Shein/ali stuff as something more upmarket, and pricing it accordingly. They haven’t sourced or designed the product themselves, they haven’t invested in the supply chain or been involved in it, let alone inspected it. But they pretend the product is their own and mark the price up to the nth degree and that’s what’s misleading.

I totally understand that but there is no way all these girls were so naive to think that these werent just bought from china. Whether it be a chinese factory or SHEIN. SHEIN is not a designer they are simply just doing the same as her and sticking their label on a item that even me and you can buy directly from the chinese factory.

Like I originally said, the problem lies with all these influencers who make young girls feel like they need to buy this tit to be like them.
China are the number 1 leading manufacturers of goods in the world so most things are made in China. Most brands buy their stuff from China. SHEIN are buying their products from Chinese factories and private labelling it which most companies do. Ddctd are buying their goods from a retailer brand and taking their logo off and replacing it with their own, and selling it for 3x the price which is just ripping people off

Agreed. It actually states on the site and the Instagram page that it is luxury fitness wear brand when this clearly is not the case, it is very much the opposite.

No one is claiming they aren’t ripping people off though, but which Chinese supplier they order from isn’t really the issue.

Agree with everything you said apart from AliExpress/Alibaba and SHEIN aren’t really the same thing. As I said before Alibaba is a website where Chinese factories bulk sell their goods to businesses for private labelling etc, Aliexpress is where they sell them in smaller quantities and not so much in bulk. SHEIN probably buy their stock from a supplier on Alibaba and private label it and that’s why they’re a retailer. If SHEIN was a supplier or a factory and ddctd were buying stock off them and private labelling it then that would be different but it’s the fact that SHEIN is a retailer that makes it wrong. It’s exactly the same as me going into river island and buying a load of stuff and cutting off the labels and putting my own on and then selling it for way more than I bought it for

The kid was drinking a tin of club orange in Big Pat's story the other day so it's obviously the norm for her! Her poor wee teeth!

It’s just lazy ass parenting. My near 2 year old has water, milk or sometimes dilute juice would never even think of giving her fizzy juice you’d think it would just be basic common sense ffs. I never had a coke until I was about 5/6 and even then it was a treat on a rare occasion.

Don't forget the depressing porridge with a lump of protein chocolate or peanut butter. And she really pushes the boat out with the prawns and sirracha. And it all is so well presented 😷
