N.I comedians

I enjoyed the show Sean was on first he Is funnier than Diona he can get a crowd going regarding podcasts Is there any worth listening to apart from Shane Todd

Have a long follow list that I either listen to regularly or dip in & out.

Even some of the older ones are good background especially when you are WFH. I listen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

Quite often find other good podcasts by searching which ones someone you like listening to haappeared on.

is it comedy specifically you are after?

There’s two main reasons that Raff isn’t ‘in’ with the rest of the NI comedy scene; 1.) (the main reason) he was outed as being an admin on the “LAD” Facebook page. Which was critical of NI Comedians on numerous occasions and 2.) he outright steals bits and copies entire characters. You only have to have compare Mike McGoldrick (Shane Todd) to ‘Nigel’ (Raff)

Ohhh interesting.
The LAD page seems to be gone now. What did they say about the comedians?

To be fair I think Diona deals with a lot of shit probably from women, being the female in the group. Didn’t love when she would take over Shane’s podcasts but she’s growing on me. Andrew Ryan I’m not sure about I wonder if his standup is better than the podcast though.

I always thought LAD was mainly ran by a couple of taxi drivers and a few high professionals never clicked Raff was involved

That other whearty bloke seems a bit of a loose cannon by all accounts

The NI comedy scene is brilliant, love Shane Todd, Diona Doherty, William Thompson and the buttman Aaron Butler!

William & Aaron are known to be prolific on the dating apps!

I actually know Aaron my OH knows him from childhood. Tbh I was thought he was gay. I think bi maybe not that there’s anything wrong with that.
And in terms of Conor and the way he talks about porn. All men do this and/or watch and talk about it. It’s just he’s doing it on a public podcast. Colin can be out there too with his content but then again has anyone listened to “saving Grace” podcast? One of the girls in work recommended it I actually was scundered listening thon girl shares WAY to much

Shane Todd always sounds a bit forced to me- I having seen a full set live but have seen him opening for Paddy McDonnell.

Listen to the podcast more for the guests than himself.

Mark McCarney is another one I find funny

Diona is funny at times but most of it feels likes she’s trying to hard and repetitive in her actions

That meet the parents podcast didn't seem to get very big numbers, did it?

Did she not do better without him? I know they've had a few failed ones before.

I don’t mind her at all but just don’t find him funny and her content recently has been scraping the bottom of barrel

He was basically the warm up act so it was probably a very different experience than he was used to at the SSE. Wouldn't say he died but he wasn't the best of the bunch.

I saw recently he cancelled a whole load of his shows in February.
