Noooooo, we use their names as middle names. My social circle use the initial to honour them. “This is Emily Scarlett, named after my late grandmother Ethel and my husband’s late mum Shirley.”
Think it's great grandparents isn't it. Or Grandparents. Don't want to out myself here, think Harold, Marjorie, Stanley and Mavis Or you could be the poor sod with a Great Granny called Fanny.
My kids have a great grandma with one of those names. Can't wait for Derek and Nigel to come back in though along with Lorraine and Shelley
I pity the child named after my mother. Eunice. She was born in 1922. I bet that never makes a comeback. Luckily, none of her grandchildren or great grandchildren are burdened with that.
My 2nd granddaughter has got my dads name as a middle name. Think Billicent instead of Bill
(Actually his name was Ray and they have gone with Rae, v v common as any self respecting mnetter would agree)
OP asks what things people have never done. Someone says I've never done this, except when... so you have done it then! How can you say you've never done it and then go on to say you have. Why are they all so stupid
