The posh names thread is flawed because there’s no way ‘Chilli’ is a posh name, as one of them suggested.

Mormons in the street,
I am so sorry -
We cannot talk today,
I like to drink coffee

You are wasting youth
Going door-to-door
When you should be drunkenly shagging, uh-huuuhh
Fabulous!

This could become a classic.

"Jehovah's" also fits. I'm going to sing this all day (Jehovah's version - we don't get Mormons here).

I met a newborn named Barbra this morning...I don't think I can cope with Lettuce this early on a Monday
Aren't we meant to be naming the children after our parents now? So all the 50s/60s names are coming in. Although I haven't actually heard many...

I find it very weird for anyone to tell a 20 year old they don't know to go out and have sex - Mormon or not Mormon.

Barbra's parents are both early 20s, no family connection to the name. I even explored the Barbie angle but no, they just liked the name.

I can't wait for the generation naming their children Shirley, Sheila and Susan...or fast forward to being named after grandad Jaxxon!

Noooooo, we use their names as middle names. My social circle use the initial to honour them. “This is Emily Scarlett, named after my late grandmother Ethel and my husband’s late mum Shirley.”

Think it's great grandparents isn't it. Or Grandparents. Don't want to out myself here, think Harold, Marjorie, Stanley and Mavis Or you could be the poor sod with a Great Granny called Fanny.
My kids have a great grandma with one of those names. Can't wait for Derek and Nigel to come back in though along with Lorraine and Shelley

I pity the child named after my mother. Eunice. She was born in 1922. I bet that never makes a comeback. Luckily, none of her grandchildren or great grandchildren are burdened with that.

My 2nd granddaughter has got my dads name as a middle name. Think Billicent instead of Bill
(Actually his name was Ray and they have gone with Rae, v v common as any self respecting mnetter would agree)

OP asks what things people have never done. Someone says I've never done this, except when... so you have done it then! How can you say you've never done it and then go on to say you have. Why are they all so stupid

‘I asked DH to buy me a specific treat I really fancied and would enjoy (think Starbucks drink)’

so…a Starbucks then?

ever since it’s been mentioned on here ‘think’ really winds me up!
