Just overheard a very MN conversation in work canteen.
One saying her DD is sooooooo tiny that small sizes are too big for her.
The other took 1 mouthful of lunch and said it was too filling.
They walk amongst us 😁

That Bagel poster is definitely bullshitting. I'm the same age and "We holiday well" and "I've a [car]" is not in my lexicon, that's just insane. Would hazard a guess that this is yet another lonely weirdo projecting their own insane ideal of what "successful" looks like (young-ish and speaks like Barbara Cartland) to... impress randos on the internet I guess? Sad.

That would be 20 euro here and I would expect it to swim to my house and make itself useful for 20 quid.

News just in - if you’re a size 14 you won’t live to see your grandchildren.
Surely everyone goes NC with any friend or relative who gets larger than a size 10 anyway, so anyone who is a size 14 wouldn't have any contact with their grandchildren.

Someone I know did call their baby Greg after their recently deceased dad. However much you're grieving, you really need to think about your child.

Mine has a sentimental middle name (not english but was my grandparent’s) so he just uses the initial. Which was the plan all along

ETA if his grandad had been called Greg or some other shit name, he wouldn’t have got that either.
I've a patient named Kent and I'm assuming it's a family name, but it does my head in when I'm calculating his dosages and wondering why a man in his fifties weighs 10 kilos, then I look and see he's fucking two years old. Every time, it trips me up.

I think this thread is fake because whose 19 year old still lives at home. Doesn't everyone kick them out and go NC on their child's 18th birthday? 😂

So a friend of mine had 1 ds 19 years old.
She is always posting pictures of him on social media with captions like, my world, my beautiful son, my son has done this at the weekend, so proud of him and my son living his best life with videos or pictures of him out with friends etc.
I find this a little strange and weird. Yes we all love our kids but he’s 19 years old not a young child. It’s like she’s obsessed with him.
I know it’s none of my business before anyone starts. Just wondering AIBU thinking it’s a bit to much?
If I posted pics of my ds like that he would find it really embarras
sing
At least she’s got a husband. How fucking insensitive of her.

There’s a twin pregnancy thread going where OP has 3 kids already and didn’t want more, but was sloppy about contraception because she thought she was ‘past it’ in her 30s. Then she followed up by saying her none of her existing kids are her current partner’s.

I’m thinking it’s Sunday afternoon rage bait.

I’m going back to work soon, I’m thinking of starting a thread on how unfair it is that I can’t be a SAHM. because DH doesn’t earn six figures and my mum and stepdad refuse to die so I can’t get my inheritance. Heck, even my Nan’s still going strong at 90.

I am actually very lucky because childcare will be shared between my parents and my two sisters who live nearby (there’s one in London and one in Leeds who selfishly won’t move back to Wales) and my lovely neighbour who shares the school run. Plus I’m working condensed hours so full time but only 3 days.

Lads, I’m still dreading it! I’ve done a couple of KIT days though and enjoyed seeing my (mostly) lovely colleagues again and catching up on the gossip. Seren has left her husband and moved in with office lothario Hari whose girlfriend also works for the company, and I’m excited for the next instalment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There are a lot of terribly selfish people in your family, can I suggest go NC!

On a serious note, I know it’s mixed feelings going back but you have a great support network around you by the sounds of it and I wish you the best 😊

A few years ago I developed migraine after eating some pizza. Came to the conclusion it wasn't the base because I hadn't had any issues with bread. Had some cheese spread (yes I know it's not exactly the same) and had the same reaction. Came to the conclusion it was the cheese
No way, you solved a problem without creating a Mumsnet thread or going NC with anyone! They'll never believe it!

Apparently, she wasn’t happy that we felt sorry for her children. And after reading her posts on her childhood, she shares waaay too much, those are things she really needs a therapist to help her through, not MN.
That post was bait. Mentioning here and oversharing. I was pleased to see us mean, horrible tattlers didn't touch that with a 10ft pole.

You would've thought that the mumsnet mafia would've known the salt path was a load of shite. I mean, how could they possibly not have ten showers a day? Dirty cunts.

This may be a bit too niche but ‘paper and a flake’ woman reminds me of ‘fish and a rice cake’ guy

Maybe I'm just particularly irritable today but there's a thread about a 15 year old who complains about what her parents make for tea, and one of the first replies is "just offer toast and cereal".

I swear mumsnet is the only forum on the planet where people "offer" food to their children. It's such a fucking annoying turn of phrase. She's 15 fgs. There's no offer! It's in the kitchen and presumably therefore accessible to everyone living there?

At last viewing
I don't even know what the salt path is about. From the small amount I've seen about it eg the film poster, it looks like a film about a couple who walked all around Cornwall and now when I see those threads I can't help thinking that Mumsnetters are now on 5 threads of outrage about a couple who lied about going for a walk 😂 At this point it's too amusing for me to even read the threads to find out the true story about why they're upset.
