Wouldn't surprise me one bit if either some MN staff have generated the most deranged ones to get the clicks coming in or if other media have done so just to see what happens. DailyFail sometimes picks up and maybe even are the instigator.

I think that's been happening for ages. The threads that get popular and go onto part 2, part 3 etc - I'm highly sceptical that the posters on there, begging for updates, are genuine posters, nor the ones who advise the OP to start another thread. It'll be Justine and her mum mates, stirring the pot to get more clicks. I bet she does a happy dance when one of the more lucrative threads ends up featuring in the mail.
Anyone know if you can ask for your entire content to be deleted? Would be rather fabulous if everyone ducked off and managed to get every post they ever made removed.

I’ve deleted my account too. I don’t post on there any more but have been a member for over 10 years.
As I am up with Betsi most nights, I volunteer for the night shift for keeping an eye on Mumsnet. I solemnly swear to copy and paste anything of interest. So that’s going to be a very easy job isn’t it?

I was looking at the thread in AIBU about it and some posters seem to think that any decent ad-blocker will put the mockers on the whole thing. I checked my U-Block origin while on MN and it said it has blocked 38% of the content. Lovely.
