Was just thinking would we get a more severe dose as it's very rare here where as Africa have it circulating for a few years, it all but died out there till about 6 yrs ago so maybe their immune systems were able to deal with it better through exposure

Monga you should offer to work for the CDC. I didn’t even think of that.

Dunno now my CT brain is ticking about your identity.

It is interesting how so many of these diseases come from Africa and Asia. Most of the worse viruses and diseases in history seem to have come from those continents. I wonder why.

The vocab. Nauseating dejavu.
I genuinely wasn't worried about this as everything I read said that you needed like mega close contact and that generally everyone recovers without an issue. When I read things like this, it makes my stomach flip. Doubt anyone will be suggesting monkeypox parties? I remember chickenpox parties when I was a kid ha.

I live abroad and not sure I can go through another round of closed borders, travel restrictions and bizarre testing and quarantine rules. Might be time to bring my careers closer to my family - but hopefully it won't come to that.

We have hardly had time to breathe after the devastation caused by COVID (and the restrictions imposed because of it).

Poor sanitation and close contact with wild animals. Chinese wet markets and African bush meat. A lot of the Chinese population is densely populated in places which also breeds disease.

I'm sure it won't be long before the lecterns are brought out again, and Boris, Chris Whitty et al gather with their PowerPoint presentations to tell us how dire the situation is, and contemplate more restrictions to keep us safe.

I think we've all had enough now and deserve a break.

As long as people keep clicking on the articles about monkey pox they will keep reporting on it. It's all about the clicks.

Black death!
The pustules do look just like black plague - you'll know it's monekpox though if you get a craving for bananas and start flinging your own shit at passing people. All we need now is the four horsemen to the apocalypse to appear in the clouds.
