Moisturiser/skincare recommendation needed

As the title of the thread mentions I need a recommendation for a new moisturiser and/or skincare routine. I've been using Liz earle but recently they changed their moisturisers and I'm not happy with it.

I have a combination skin, dry spots really dry and oily bits really oily. I would prefer something that is light, I am also 39.

My skin is really dry but I have an only nose. The best I’ve found is skinceuticals triple lipid restore - it’s very pricey but the tub lasts quite a while since you don’t need much, makes my skin feel really calm and soft xx

Oh no, how have they changed it? My skin likes that best

I have dry / combo skin and I’ve started using Avene for cleansing, toner and moisturiser. My skin has never looked better. It’s good for sensitive skin too.

I really like Caudalie Vinoperfect moisturiser. I had some sun damage (pigmentation) around my eyes and it’s quickly made a huge difference in reducing it. I swear it also peps my skin up nicely in the morning but that might just be the mirror as I saw myself this morning in a different mirror and slightly recoiled.

I have recently started using the FaceTheory range. Their Amil C Whip is lovely and lightweight.
They also give a 365 day exchange or refund if your skin doesn't agree with any of the products.

I fell in love with Korean cosmetics not so long ago. However, in our local stores, it is very expensive, I have to order everything online and wait for delivery. I use a cream with aloe and brand Missha, you can see the price and description https://top-mom.com/best-korean-moisturizer-for-oily-skin/. I also have combination skin, it's so hard. I have three different types of cream for my skin.

I've also used Liz Earle skincare for ages and loved it but not keen on the new moisturiser. My skin is also very dry. I've been trying out Kiehls products recently and so far am very impressed. When shops reopen it is worth going and asking advice in store as the assistants seem very knowledgable and are happy to give really generous sized samples so you can try the products for a good period of time before committing to buying them.

I have skin like yours and I like the Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin moisturiser. Even with the monthly subscription fee, it works out far cheaper than the luxury creams I used to buy, although people regularly sell untouched pots on Ebay for about £25 so you could just do that.

Hi guys, just wanted to jump on this thread for a little bit of advice if anybody can offer it please.

So I just wanna preface this by saying I'm a complete skincare dummy, I've pretty much always had clear/low maintenance skin - I'd say "normal" occasionally dry type, if that's a thing... and any old soap and water followed by a moisturiser always did the job but after having my daughter I've been having a bit of trouble with hormonal acne, it didn't actually start until after her birth & it seems to be prolonged by still breastfeeding (20m postpartum). It's mostly clogged pores that look wide (does that make sense?), under skin bumps and some large white heads; mainly its my face but some on my thighs and occasionally my back too ...I've tried a few salicylic soaps but they seem to only work for the first one or two uses and then my skin is back to being bumpy. It's been really getting me down lately and, I know it sounds a bit silly but, I'm a little embarrassed to go to my GP about it (especially as I feel like it's the last priority for the NHS atm). I had a smear recently and that was all clear so I know it's not an issue in that respect. I'm 29 if that's important ...not sure everything I've included is useful or if I've missed anything that might be, sorry!

Does anyone use Elemis. I’m looking for a cleanser but they have so much in their range. I was given a voucher so need to use it

I'm not a skin expert but I have worked in dermatology as a nurse. I would suggest an very mild exfoliator/facial scrub on the spotty bits, and have a look at Revolution's range of skin care products. I use their overnight hydrating mask once a week or so. They also do a good serum for problem skin. I don't work for them, other skin care brands are available :D

However!! If your skin is getting you down, then book a virtual appointment with your GP and ask for a dermy ref. Forget the pandemic, that'll be over soon (fingers crossed) and a decent dermatologist will give you invaluable advice.

Congratulations on your baby girl ❤ ❤ ❤

I use cera-ve, but for the past week I’ve been drinking a gallon of water a day and honestly think that’s the best thing ever, my skin is amazing right now and not got a single nasty spot.

My cousin grew up in Miami and we're both olive skinned but she had some pretty bad sun damage on her face at a young age. She started working for Bare Minerals in her 30s so used all the products and her skin completely changed. The brown spots are now all gone. I recently wanted to switch up my skin care whilst in lockdown (gutted about Liz Earle!!) and bough some samples of Bare Minerals in the Debenhams sale and I am hooked. In two weeks, the cleanser and moisturiser have completely changed the texture of my skin. It's like a little baby's! I've now bought their foundation and powder and will probably purchase the entire line of skin care. Super impressed.
