It’s an easy fix Mo.
You plastered your relationship on the net for all to see, to the point where it became your whole identity. Of course people are going to talk/ask when suddenly you don’t post with Maria anymore. Don’t give us ‘I don’t owe you anything’ bullcrap when you made your living of people watching that crap. Also, stop plastering your kid all over the gram! I hate parents who do this!

I think patience is required when explaining this to allies/potential allies. We don’t automatically know this stuff. I don’t about the concept of teaching fatigue; where you wish *we* would go and educate ourselves as you’re exhausted having to explain all the nuances. But realistically, the world is filled with so much right now that none of us can say we’re an expert or informed in every single space.
In my humble opinion, Moaning could have used her platform to help allies understand.
On the topic of donors/fathers I’m sorry, I had no idea. I do now, because you explained it without sounding irritated.
She could have too but just came across pissed off
I agree, she always comes across as aggressive and it also irritates me because she could use her platform to inform rather than belittle. I’ve read her book where she whinged that everyone presumed she was a les but she wasn’t. I haven’t liked her since then, it seems she always uses her platform to make herself look better than others rather than use her position to inform.
When having a conversation with someone and they ask “is the Dad/Father xyz” we will reply “the donor is xyz” and just try and change language and understanding that way. Our kids dont see themselves as any different, they have an understanding that there are so many different types of families. They have confidence to say I have two Mums when teachers etc will refer to parents as Mums and Dads. You’re right that it does create teaching fatigue but it doesn’t mean you’re going to achieve anything by getting annoyed, you just keep using language that is more inclusive.
