I’ve lived under 3 different councils and I’ve never heard of a £1000 decorating grant. I think it must vary area to area depending on the council’s budget and priorities, but I certainly wasn’t offered any assistance when I moved into my bare-floored, undecorated council house.

She had lino or laminate down under the carpet already so she’s obviously already paid for flooring once. I just looked back and the carpet was 25% gifted by a brand, so she paid 75% of it + underlay + fitting. Two lots of flooring in one room in under a year, only to rip the second one up shortly after, sounds like a lot of disposable income for a single parent to two under 3s. She’s fiddling something isn’t she!

I've been told you don't get offered anything by the state. If you know what 'you are entitled to' they'll pay it. So these families that are generation after generation claiming benefits know how to play it to get what they can.

I live locally to her and there is no grant you can get, if she is on uc and earnt under a certain amount she can get a 'loan' I think that can be upto £900, the council around here does do grants for certain things but not carpets

Wasn’t Minnie only saying quite recently that her little boy still co-sleeps? I really hope she’s not having that new fella in to stay the night, bit inappropriate isn’t it.

Desperate for content ideas now. She’s given up on the Mary Poppins illusion, showing us her daily cleaning routines and how pristine her house is because of how she was raised, and she’s leaning into some Austin style messy house normalisation. Tagging companies in looks so beggy as well.

Remember when she tried posting relatable budget content? She seems to spend a lot for someone trying to promote a frugal lifestyle. She’s not even been gifted any of those luxury, premium price products, she’s spending ~£200 a week on driving lessons, has had a Mini sitting in her driveway that she can’t drive for a good couple of years that she will have been paying tax and insurance and maintenance on as well, I really struggle to believe that all of this money is coming from TikTok.

I bet she’s up to her eyeballs in debt keeping up the copycat Insta hun pretence, hoping one day she’ll get to pay it all off in one hit like Alex. She’s gambling with hers and her kids’ futures.

I'm honestly shocked at how much she's spending in such a short amount of time on driving lessons and car seats. Presumably she's not bringing absolutely loads in on social media, but can comfortably afford it on from universal credit. She spent £500 the previous week on carseats and because of her mistake has just spent over £300 on carseats. (I'm guessing £500 again as undoubtedly it would be the same carseats). The £160 for 4 hour lessons 4 days a week. So this last week she's spent in excess of £1440. (160×4=640. 500+300+640=1440)

Reckless with money. Easy come easy go. Even if it's debt, she knows she won't be turfed out on the street.

I didn't have kids at her age, I was working and saving because that's what my parents did. She's destined for a life on benefits like her Mother.

And Minnie would like a white Land Rover or Range Rover, can't remember exactly. Not the cost of these Minnie, They are the shittiest cars for reliability 🤣. The running costs, fuel, hundreds a year Car Tax and the worst is cost of the repairs for the many faults each model has. Never again would I buy the brand.

I honestly can't fathom having that much disposable income (or debt) whilst on benefits. She's also got a manual mini that has been sat for at least a year, maybe even 2, that apparently she will sell. I don't think she realises that just changing a battery won't mean it will sell.cars need regular drives and I doubt it has mot and any other work which will need doing. The white range rover made me laugh.
It also confuses me that she said the children's dad has been having the kids whilst she's been having lessons, but apparently he's unsafe from her previous posts. Make it make sense. Without sounding judgy, I don't understand how someone who is fully reliant on benefits can afford to buy and run a car, when there are people working who can't afford that luxury in this climate.

I didn't get as far as hearing the kids Dad is unsafe. He's probs on benefits for MH. 🙄

How she is living, people have lived for years like it.. It's this bracket of society that wastes money and has v little financial responsibility, nothing new. The difference is. In many years to come when the working people/ homeowners / payers into private pension/been financially astute/financially responsible get older they 'will have something tangible'..the benefit claimants stay the same their entire life. Have an older friend in her 60s, raised by parents on benefits, they were won't work, why should we. Happy to plod , those days when you were poor it stuck out like a sore thumb. (All the kids have not followed parents, hated their proper childhoods, was so different then) Kids don't Q up at school with an obvious dinner token, because parents don't pay school lunches. Or wear jumble sale worn out clothes. Or NHS weird spectacles. Fast forward years, her 80 yo mother is v very well looked after by the state, even with the government slashing what they did for the elderly. Because this lady is on full benefit, she gets all sorts of cash thrown at her.

Its the between benefit claimants and good/ high earners always suffer financially.

Incidentally..I came from a low to middle class family. In a financial challenging dip when i waa small my Mother went out door to door selling Avon, I remember her saying. The council estates were her best revenue, not the private housing.

She didn't say it in the stories about him being unsafe, but has alluded to it in posts she put up previously. Along with implying DV from him etc and that's why they split. It definitely seems the last few months she been spending alot, whether that's a 'keeping up with the Jones' lookout she really receives that much money that dropping atleast £800 on carseats has no impact on her daily living. I wonder if she's declared about her new partner.

I reckon Minnie is on full benefits plus disability benefits for her “mental health”, and then she’ll be allowed to earn about £500 a month on top from TikTok without losing benefits. She’s probably the exact sort of blagger the government want to take off PIP, and is doing a disservice to the genuine claimants.

She clearly comes from a multi-generational family of council house living and benefits claiming, so they’ll all know exactly how to play it and what they’re entitled to. She’s a grifter from a line of grifters. Nothing wrong with short term dependence on the state, but the welfare net is supposed to be there to catch people in times of need, not to be a permanent lifestyle.

So who thinks she is going to fail her driving test.
I hope she passes. However, all sounds like a car crash! Pardon the pun..the driving instructors car out of action...if she uses a different make of car, it is very different swopping cars, even for car the experienced driver getting used to where everything is placed. Not ideal for a learner pre test and test
What has happened and I do feel sorry for her, really bad luck . Or is it made up tit for attention and to soften the blow if she FAILS 🤔

Think she'll be shocked how much she'll loose on the MINI she's never driven that has sat outside a years vehicles depreciated like a ton of bricks. She's now learning in an automatic, well that's an easier option out to pass..she'll never be legally able to drive a manual car, automatics are more expensive to buy and maintain.

I think she’s daft for not persevering with a manual, particularly because she already has a manual car sitting in her driveway. Like, I really struggled with gears and it took a lot more lessons, practice, and tests to pass than anyone else I know, but I cracked it eventually and I’m glad I did.

She’s doing this all in such an expensive and rushed way so that she can get a test in before her theory expires. I’d just have rebooked the theory. If she fails this test, after blowing all her savings on intensive lessons and multiple expensive car seats, will she be able to afford to keep up the practice with an instructor before the next test which could be months away? Especially if she has to resit her theory before she rebooks.

I think there’s a few of these young mums in a WhatsApp group, Minnie, Molly, Alex & co, and I think Minnie is just desperate to outdo Alex and pass first instead of going at her own pace.

Further to Minnie's post saying the hate she gets. I don't dislike her..I hate and loath the Government for letting people abuse the system. Not that I know she is. If you're going to make your life public, expect reactions good and bad.

I was thrown out an older teen and sofa surfed at friends. Both my parents were horrible, vile parents. I worked my way out of my situation and became a cycle breaker..i had a good career, great renumeration package, my children have a happy quiet, non aggressive non violent home life.know the world is their oyster and they can have anything if they study, work smart and then claim their £ rewards. How their father and I have. They are not and have never been spoilt or indulged.

Pregnant young. It takes two..dad in the delivery room ignoring her in labour. Her doing/ choice, she has 2 kids with him, why go back for round two.

If there wasn't a safety net in the UK of benefits, great too for some and free houses and brand new home to boot. Teen pregnancies would not be so common. We all know because they've been on tv, social.media bragging about how they like their life on benefits with loads of kids some of these women. Some folk are paying the equivalent of a years salary in bloody tax ! 😠

I work my bleeping a off 5 days a week (self employed and own my own business) and with all the rises I’m lucky if i’ll take home £500 (my wage) this month for myself! I have a little one that goes to breakfast club at 7.30am and then I got home at 7pm to pick him up from my sisters. Tell me again, what’s the bleeping point in working, when I would probably get more being a bum claiming!

Sounds like you just need to become an “influencer” instead @dumdums83, just sell your kids’ souls to strangers on the internet for freebies!

You’ll have all the brand new mod cons, overpriced rugs, and home decor you can shake a pokey stick at, you’ll be able to buy multiple designer car seats in a week, and have enough spare cash to piss away on two holidays in a month and £160 a pop driving lessons.

It would seem that’s what I need to do! Honestly this country is just getting bleeper and bleeper! I’m sure we are just a social experiment to see how long before we all lost our tit and revolt!
