Exactly. 2 of my kids have SEN (1 severely autistic the other has mild CP) and I don't even mention it on my SM to people I know. Rarely post pics of em and when I do I make sure my settings are private and the people I have on SM are people I actually know.(I do post first day of school and Xmas day photos that sort of thing). Just couldn't imagine selling my kids out or breaching their privacy like that.
Exactly! We all have hardships to navigate, it takes a special kind of self-obsessed to think your story is worthy of sharing with the public, let alone making money out of.

I think the reason Millie has rubbed me up the wrong way is because her story is like the large-free version of my own.

I suffered horrific abuse, it wasn’t just a few hurty words and someone who raised their voice and punched some walls boohoo. I was sleeping on the streets for weeks aged 13 before being fostered. I was so neglected that nobody even reported that I was missing. I’d left for fear of my life. I cannot even, for fear of triggering, retell the things that happened to me on those streets. The trauma I endured that, in comparison to the rest of my life, felt so freaking minimal it took me the best part of two decades to realise that that wasn’t actually normal and I never deserved any of it.

I had two kids young, really young, younger than her, products of abuse, one disabled, and yes sure, I ended up in council housing initially but it was a stepping stone for me. I decorated it on a budget and made it cosy and homely for my kids but at no point would it have crossed my mind that what I was doing was in any way spectacular and worth shouting about Jesus Christ, or that it was anyone’s business but ours what our life looked like.

Should I start a TikTok? I’m sure my now grown children would be thrilled to have their faces plastered all over the internet non-consensually alongside my tales of woe. At least they might get some discount on carpet out of it, that’ll make it okay.

She’s 20. Her children are under two years old. Being fertile and keeping two small children fed and clothed on benefits, grifted cash and freebies for less than two years isn’t “inspirational”. Is the bar really this low?

Come back in 25 years when your kids are well-adjusted adults with aspirations and careers and tell your “inspirational” tale of how it started. For now, she’s nothing more than a big kid with a sob story and a couple of rugrats and a house built by taxpayers paid for by taxpayers. This is the beginning of her story, not the end of it. She’s got their entire lives to navigate yet before we can say she’s inspirational. Her kids might become serial killers yet.

The end point for me was the post about her perfect job, apparently it wasn't the first pic of her in a carers uniform, it was her doing her Instagram posts. The beginning of the end was the explotation of her kids and her admitting everything she has she has grifted off her fans.

She defo gives off the single parent vibe which is always a massive insult to actual single parents.

And the videos where she leans on the "I'm just a little girl who can't do anything so please send me stuff" really grate on me. She's doing nothing for feminism.

“I’m going to do a paint highlight for you guys!”

Oh wow, thank you Minnie, for your public service! I was desperate to know which paint you used in your kitchen after you were whinging the other day about how poor quality it was and how it’s all scratched and chipped, and wanted recommendations for a similar colour in a different brand. Air head!

Doesn’t think it’s good paint, but will still share the Aff link and waste your time and money using knowingly tit paint if it means a bob or two for her own pocket. Influencers all over! It’s never really for you guys, it’s entirely self-motivated because they’re all bloody dishonest narcs.

I think she's a low key psycho. The eyes are the window to the soul and all that.

I think you’re onto something @Lucyxxxx!

If you watch any of her older videos it becomes apparent how quickly she’s changed absolutely everything about herself to morph into a social media brand. Her style, the way she dresses, the way she expresses herself and gesticulates like a children’s TV presenter, even the intonation of her voice.

Psychopaths are very good at manipulating an image of themselves to gain trust and popularity.

Saying her page is about “real advice” has me in stitches 😂 I’m sorry, who’s taking life advice from someone who’s barely finished puberty?

How about you let your prefrontal cortex finish maturing you daft little twit, before you start imparting the wisdom of your literal no years of experience as a fully developed adult.

I get it, I thought I was really grown up and knew it all at 20 too! With the hindsight of a fair few more trips around the sun, I now know that all I had kids and bills and quite frankly no clue. Thankfully, I didn’t have a platform like TikTok to make a public show of myself on though.

I think she’s absolutely stupid for spending any amount of money on doing her room up right now. She’s going to need to swap rooms with her kids at some point because she’s got two of them in the smaller room and the big one to herself, so it’s just wasteful to invest in major decorating right now. I don’t know why she didn’t give the kids the bigger space in the first instance. Probably thinks she’ll just blag a bigger house some day.

If she was the sort of person to give her two kids the bigger room, she'd already have done it.

One of her posts just came up showing 'all' she's done to the house. She got a free carpet in the lounge, sofa and paint a small part of one wall.

No one is following for decorating tips. I think her whole usp is about her being a young, clueless girl who needs help and that she plays on people's kindness to get stuff out of them. Lots of young moms are in a much worse place than her. The house looked amazing when she first moved in, compared to some places they end up.

I don’t think he does live with her already, there’s never any signs of his stuff when she shows off the house. I think he stayed in the one bed they had, she said he likes living ‘alone’. She likely went crying to the council about a separation as a reason to get herself back on the housing list to try to score a two bed this time.

If they were both on the tenancy they had equal right to stay there, so one or the other had a right to apply to be rehoused. I think that’s what she did. Otherwise she’d not take as much priority to be upgraded, lots of people are overcrowded and sharing a bedroom with their children and getting nowhere fast on the housing list. Being potentially at risk of homelessness and your mental health being impacted by living with an ex partner, and being in a hostile environment for the children, will score you bigger points than just wanting an extra room.

She’s only planting that he might move back in to justify having taken the bigger bedroom in the first instance. She’s always justifying herself! She’s obsessed with what people think of her, a trait people who choose to be that visible online can’t afford to have.

People who are truly in that situation, are at one if their lowest points, and considering the housing some women end up in. It's a bit tasteless to go on about how 'huge' her kids room is like in the tour of her HOUSE. And if theirs is huge and the smallest, hers must be massive.

I guess she's not building content for people in the same situation as her though, she's building it for people in a much better situation who can afford to gift her stuff.

She’s fiddled the system good and proper, and now she’s fiddling her followers. Shame they can’t see through her like we can, she’s a total fraud.

So glad I found this thread, there’s so many young mums on tiktok giving other young mums a bad name and showing this lavish life of getting a council house and instantly being able to do it all up and make it nice, when in reality it’s so far from the truth, I fell pregnant at 19 me, my husband and son lived in a bedroom in his parents house for nearly a year until we got our 2 bed flat, we then spent 3 years on the list again after having our 3rd waiting for a 3 bed, which we finally got just over a month ago and still only one room has been decorated, that’s with my husband being on a fairly good wage and these wicks are getting everything gifted, while still claiming full benefits, and having a partner that for benefit reasons doesn’t live with them, it’s a joke

You’re so right @Goldfish. TikTok is full of kids, really influential kids, and all Minnie is doing is perpetuating the message to young girls that it’s alright, you don’t need to make anything of yourself, you can just get pregnant and have everything for free, you just have to dance around in front of a camera for old creepy men who are only really looking at your jugs… or your children.
