How does it work claiming benefits and receiving income?

She won't have the bf officially living there, would affect benefits massively.

Surely to have income to live on paying rent ect it would need to be guaranteed regular and enough to cover all outgoings

I do know when single mothers youngest is 3yo the benefits are restricted or stopped. The Mother is expected to work a certain amount of hours a week, have seen others on IG whinging about health issues , clearky trying to get on disability instead of working. Then like magic another pregnancy by another man.

Is Minnie taking a leaf out of Alex’s book and rage baiting for engagement now?

Judging from the comments, there’s no way anyone with any sense has been telling her to finance her first ever car.

Latest post about magpies. Her mum taught her the rhyme. Then ends post seeing 1 reminds her of her mum & something beautiful is about to happen ! We all know the magpie rhyme! 1 for sorrow, 2 for Joy, 3 for a girl 4 for a boy. We all know her mum would be singing it a lot the amount of kids she has herself 🙄

My opinion is the new guy lives further away and her excuses of wanting to go places with her daughter is actually so she can drive to new guys house.

Also I noticed that she said the mini was on her ex’s driveway. Also could she have marked it as SORN temporarily so she didn’t have to pay tax or insure it while it sat rusting.
Yeh, re the BF

Re SORN would not use sense

As a single mum, getting tied into ongoing big monthly payments, is one of the stupidest things you can do when you could wait and save. You never know what’s around the corner, as someone like Minnie should well understand by now with all of her house moves, relationship breakdowns, and teen pregnancies.

She’s under 25 so her insurance is likely to be high monthly payments too, plus running and maintenance costs. Add that to her sofa payments and very clear Klarna addiction, and she’s looking at a very real possibility that she might not be able to afford the essentials because she’s

Silly, silly girl.
All of my cars have been on finance as I live rurally and have always needed a car for work etc so waiting until I could afford a car outright was never an option. I am now a single mum, living in social housing and claiming UC alongside a full time wage but still have a car on finance which I can afford. So I'm curious, were you implying that single parents shouldn't finance a car?

SO PREDICTABLE! 🤣

Having a kitten will be another thing she’s too young and dumb to have thought through. But hey! “Content” 🙄 As above, I hope she’s budgeted for getting the poor thing insured and spayed and vaccinated and chipped. It’s a legal requirement to have a cat chipped now.

I pointed out on Alex Wren’s last thread that drivers with only automatic licences pay around double the insurance of manual licence drivers, according to the Admiral website, because they’re more likely to be worse drivers claim and their cars are more costly to repair. Minnie is also under 25 which puts her insurance up anyway. She has her car on finance too because she wasn’t patient enough to save up. Her overheads for that vehicle must be astronomical! How she’s affording to pay for and run and maintain and insure that financed car on strictly benefits, as well as supporting her kids, and still have a surplus of ~£1500 a year to responsibly own a cat is beyond me. I’ve lived on benefits and I can tell you, she’ll be absolutely drowning in bills she can’t afford to pay all for the sake of keeping up with the fake Instagram image. She’s so naive it’s unreal. It’s the kids I feel for, having to grow up alongside such an immature mother.

She does come off as a lovely mum, but just wait until the kids lose their “cute” appeal and start answering back and actually having real life problems and needing real life support…
Absolutely ALL true..AND women like her are needy and get their love and being needed from small babies. Once these babies get to children the next baby is cooked and popped and life revolves around the latest baby whilst the older kids take a backseat.

So, children need swimming lessons,no ifs nor buts. An important life skill. Hers could be going now, shes mentioned they've got challenging or something similar. Yes they will be, and back breaking hard work, they are curious toddlers now, intrigued, eager to learn and need stimulating every minute of the day if like mine were. Bathtime for us was mid pm, so I could sit for a bit, on the loo watching them play for a while, with a cupa. I'd read to them whilst they were in the bath because neither would sit nicely and still in bed.

Yes, the government pay for swimming lessons in year 5 or 6, or is it subsodised? Cant remember. Maybe free for those on benefits no doubt. This is basic once a week for not even an hour, by the time they get there undressed ect ect being kids i doubt even 30 mins in pool. Big classes.I wasnt prepared to wait for mine to learn until that age.

Wonder if she'll ever learn. The irony of the car business. Adding up the total cost annually. If she used her common in the first place and stuck to a manual, saved a little money. Less on the never never. Hadnt spent 1k inherentence on a MINI before passing test..She'd probably have a better car.!! And healthier finance.

Paying upfront SAVES money. Years ago you could go into a shop. Jewellers for example..decide on an item, the more expensive the easier to barter because the sales assistant wants the sale..offering cash you'd always get a good discount off the ticket price, then they started doing it with card payment..my parents are minted, this s how i grew up ! Dysfunctional but money savvy 😂

Oh and my parents by cars(second jand, never new) cash, obvs with a little haggle.
