Koreans actually like the 'vline' face and they get chin filler to make their chin look more sharp and 'vline' (you can get it surgically done aka 'vline surgery'. The 'slim' look is quite in atm!

She was really down for a while but now she seems like she's on the up and up; I think she is dating again. I think she and Sophia Chang are similar in the sense that they both get lonely without an SO. They somehow HAVE to be in a relationship to be happy.

Yes. I find her very online persona very likeable. It's quite different from the other Asian influencers that give off very try-hard and clout chasing vibes. I totally agree with her being codependent on a boyfriend. I found it uncomfortable when she made a depressing vlog post breakup with Ivan. Then later made another one where she says that they're back together, followed by another one where they finally break up for good.
I hope she is happy in her new relationship though.

I was surprised to find a Michelle thread. She has started to irritate me lately and I can’t put my finger on it. I know she’s always been a vlogger, but I just find it all so try-hard now, the whole appeal of her earlier videos was how candid she appeared to be. Now it’s just constantly staged cringe shots. The content is just so boring now. I really enjoy her cooking vlogs though.

As for Ivan, I got the impression that she was the problem in the relationship from some of her comments post breakup. I’m only speculating, but she comes across as needy, immature and attention seeking and Ivan seemed a bit more mature than her. They just weren’t a good match and I was dumbfounded when they got back together.

I find it interesting she seems to find men with exceptional jobs, that are high-earning. She is not really relatable anymore. I doubt her parents are financially supporting her, they seem to live and work quite humbly.

Idk what the deal is with Esther and Freesia, I love them though, they seem like genuine girls, but Michelle acts like a princess.

Sigh. Why is it so “interesting” that Michelle seems to find men who are high earners with exceptional jobs ? What is wrong with that ?


I have seen a lot of replies about Ivan, her ex boyfriend, being a lawyer. However, in a q&a she posted with him, the thumbnail is of him and her in the car, she states that she pays for dates often times. So like ??? Lol.

Look at statistics. Culturally, Asians , including Indians choose high paying jobs because their / our parents force us to focus on school. We value education in our culture. This is the norm, all of my ex boyfriends have been doctors or engineers (I am an engineer as well thou ).

Anyway, it’s annoying and screams of jealousy or nitpicking when people on this thread bring up her dating high earners / career men.

If you had the chance too, you probably would too. Michelle , if you are reading this, don’t feel bad for dating men with value. We don’t even get universal paid maternity leave in this country. We could risk our lives and give birth to a baby in this country and not even have adequate time off. Femicide. The glorification of the “Dad bod” yet women (who actually give birth to the baby) are expected to snap back ASAP. Men leave their sick or chronically ill wives so much that nurses are taught to warn women when they are diagnosed. Anyway, I feel like Michelle is definitely lacking. Like she has no substance in her videos. I don’t know how to explain it. Like her videos aren’t deep or anything they’re just vlogs and I feel like we barely know her. Her connection with her subscribers has no substance, does this make sense ?

I agree. This suburban housewife version of her is so forced, it's almost painful to watch. Maybe the doctor wants to settle down and this is the first step. I feel like this move and housing situation will be the relationship's undoing.

It's just flat out dull,very Stepford Wives.She feels too young to be stuck in the suburbs cleaning the house all day.She is only 29.I agree that it was almost certainly him pushing for the move,he seems a bit obsessed with her and probably wants to lock her down.

She is in Korea with her mum. She had a new haircut which I really don't like (I'm sure she will be devastated ). It just looks so frumpy and her long hair was lovely.
She's had one of those long fringes cut in that people then spend the entire time growing out as its so annoying.

She got double eyelid surgery in Korea. I don't know why she is trying to hide that. I remember there were a lot of posts about her surgery on the other gossip page as well with pictures of her in the past.

I noticed that, too. Her top was way too tight, they looked like awkward balloons vs her small frame. Not sure if she got them done or if it was an extremely padded bra. I watch Sophia Chang, too; and I appreciate that she is unbothered by (and proudly rocks) her naturally small chest.

Weird that comment “ I’m finally going to do something for myself this year”? She’s taken so many trips to Korea for plastic surgery and that video where her mom went back after 30 years of nothing but working and couldn't see her own mom? That was shocking. I like Michelle, her videos are soothing. I was surprised when she said she doesn't make any money from LP. I don't know why she would lie, but I feel like she's misrepresenting the profits slightly. Yes, she re-invests back into the business but I'm sure she's making a good profit.

I started watching her post the Ivan break up, so when she introduced the new boyfriend I went back to see what the time length was between him and the old bf and by watching those old vids I definitely got the vibe she is the kind of girl that can't be without a man.
Even in her videos with her friends and when she talks about being awkward around people it's so clear she's one of those girls that can't really hold down relationships unless romantically involved. Friends are too much work for her.

To me it’s actually weird how she lives in such a diverse city and only goes to korean businesses and hangs out with korean people exclusively. Like you have to put so much effort to not show anyone of other background in city like nyc.

I find it strange that she doesn't seem to have any non Korean friends too.Most people I know have quite diverse friendship groups,particularly people who live in big cities.
