Because his behaviour was so suspicious (as well as abnormal) and he was very manipulative.
People will continue to talk about it, especially as information comes out over the years.

Perhaps not all of his accusers will be believed (and likely that some may be false), but many of them will be. Not all of them going to court - and some may never speak of it all.

Sexual assault (especially some time after the event) is sadly, very hard to prove. It’s a fact, that many cases don’t reach court - and if they do, proving guilt is not always straightforward.
If nothing has come out in 17 years,it ain't coming out now.

Plenty has been discussed in the past 17 years. People make up their own minds - but it will be based on his behaviour. What they knew at the time and what they have become aware of more recently.

But he's dead now. What would be the point? Or is it for a share of the 💲💲💲🙄

Exactly, no actaul evidence has ever been found. Any eye witnesses to these events have been discretetred, accuses have to many inconsistencys in thier story's to be credible etc..

Victims of SA may not realise they were abused because they were groomed (along with their entire families), it's only when they may become parents themselves that they realise the sleepover games they played as a child with a forty something man weren't as normal as they were led to believe.

Any new cases won't go to a criminal court because MJ is dead. That leaves the civil court, and the Jackson family will want the royalties to keep rolling in, so will be buying the silence of any other claimants and the public would never know.

My aunt and two other women were abused by my uncle as girls. He was a powerful man, millionaire, well respected, well-loved. All three of them weren’t aware of each other but they didn’t speak up until he died, because the genuine fear of his power and connections and what he could do to them wasn’t worth it. This is a normal Joe Bloggs.

Iv said on here before, there wasn't a bigger MJ fan than me- I even named my son after him. When I was little I never believed the allegations, however since I became a mum and iv got older I have changed my view on some things. I now look at his need and desire to hang around with so many kids as really concerning and unhealthy. But then I do stop and think about his own upbringing. He was born in Gary Indiana, and the house he shared with all his brothers and sisters only had 2 bedrooms. They shared beds and so his memories of his 'normal' childhood would have held this core memory, hence his insistence on sharing a bed being 'normal' I feel sorry for Michael as a little boy because he was a little boy that should have been protected, like most children stars. But instead he was beaten by his dad, forced to be the perfect performer, dragged around sketchy clubs and then sold to the highest bidders. He didnt have peers around him to have a benchmark for social development, he was around older men in the music business. Men with money and power, who promised him 'i can make you the biggest star' ...He was a little black boy in a country and time that was still dealing with racism quite heavily. Iv always believed that he most probably was sexually abused as a child- and I think as he entered his later teenage years his hormones and trauma of that caused him to be withdrawn and developed his 'weirdness' that we see in later life. He obviously never dealt with the trauma and because he became so powerful and wealthy he did what he wanted and there was no one there for him to answer to. And because of his success from an early age I really don't think we can compare him to a normal person. He was the most famous man on earth, reclusive and surrounded by sycophants. Can you imagine how this develops your personality? He would have been a raging narcissist for a start. And I think that unfortunately, all of these issues and his arrested development were displayed in his weirdness.i also think his skin disorder and his plastic surgery made his outer appearance seem just as bizzare as his personality which didn't help the public to understand him. We couldn't understand him because he was so far removed from our own lives.
But my heart breaks for that little boy that he once was. If we can have sympathy for his alleged victims, surely we must extend our sympathy to him as a little boy. They were all victims.
Do I think he was a PDF? I think he always displayed red flags, you would be silly to think he didn't. There's no way I'd have allowed my son around him. Did he act on his PDF feelings? Again, who knows. I wasnt there. I don't find many of his accusers credible- there are too many holes jn their testimony and they always seem to go after the money. If someone came out who didn't have anything to gain financially then I would find that more concerning. I never liked his protestations that he 'never hurt a child' I'd have much preferred him to say 'I never sexually abused a child' and I always felt it quite telling that he was so emphatic with that statement 'I would kill myself before I hurt a child' because I believe he was being truthful here, he wouldn't ever physically hurt a child. It's almost like an admission of guilt in his denial. Because he doesn't actually address the sexual allegations does he? I'd love to see a statement analysis on his denials.
I think he made terrible decisions and had no emotional intelligence, he just acted like a grown toddler who demanded everything his own way. He didn't like to be told no.
If he was a PDF I dont think he ever believed he was one, I think he was in denial of a lot of things in his life. I find it sad that the most famous black man in the world, who paved the way for so many black artists ended up drug addicted and died as a result of it. Its the same story all over the world now....look at skid row...thousands upon thousands of men and women, who had abuse in childhood, who live and die for their next fix....Michael was just the same. Joe Jackson wanted so much more for his son, but look where he ended up.
I think you and I have a similar opinion on the matter. I don't feel like he did anything but I can't also say he was innocent.

There are a lot of things that don't add up with the accusers and there are major credibility issues with most of them from what I have seen.

I try and look at a wide range of sources and not just things that defend MJ.

There is a clip with the 2005 accuser Gavin where he says about sleeping in Michael's bed and Michael does say that he (Michael) slept on the floor.

Ultimately we will never know for sure what did and didn't happen.

Yes he does, iv been a lifelong fan and I have the original broadcast of the documentary that I recorded live the night it aired. The you tube clips are not in its entirety.
I think its so easy with documentaries to fall on either side. Some are too biased towards MJ and some too accusatory. I think the best documentary in recent years is the BBC one.
I feel like iv read every word ever written on MJ, good and bad -and I still don't really know. As you say, he did things that were extremely questionable and he has got some grooming patterns in there too. But I just don't know if he actually did the molestation that hes been accused of.

Even if he didn't sexually abuse children, it cannot be denied that he groomed children and their families, and developed inappropriate relationships with young boys. This alone should be enough for his music to never be played again imo. If it was any other male music star showing the same behaviours today, they would be cancelled immediately.

Literally anyone else would be forever cancelled, but MJ manage to convince everyone that he was just an innocent little boy who needed friends, and not the very powerful, very twisted grown ass man he was.

Can't even imagine being so wrapped up in a fandom that I'd be willing to ignore red flag after red flag and bend myself into knots trying to convince myself this very obvious serial predator was just the victim of a smear campaign. Gotta make sure I still rabidly love this stranger who makes the music I like.

I mean really, who cares, have you ever seen him dance?

🙄🙄🙄

He said he slept on the floor, that part always gets missed out / glossed over
He also said in another interview there was nothing wrong in sleeping in a bed with children. The exact quote being "What's wrong with sharing your bed? I didn't say I slept in the bed. Even if I did sleep in the bed, it's okay. I am not going to do anything sexual to a child."

Why are you talking about children abuse? There were always only BOYS. There is well documented history of his special friends- holding hands, sitting together,…. Always boys, boys, boys…. I loved his music as a kid/ teenager/ young woman. As a mother of three sons, who saw these pictures, I turn off the radio when I hear his music. His eccentricity is no excuse for the abuse. His fame Is still protecting him. You don’t want be the mother of the boy in Bashir interview. For me the police interview with the boy is enough to believe the children-boys.

Yes! As a mother of boys too, it really frustrates me when people seem to minimise these situations with male youth vs female. He was clearly attracted to young boys of a certain age. Approaching puberty, but pre-pubescent. They found orders of naked child videos at his house? How is that not evidence?! If this was a white male 90s pop star with the same age GIRLS, they would be immediately banned and cancelled- imagine if Robbie Williams or Justin Timberlake had toured with a 12 year old girl sharing his bed. Photos with her sitting on his lap acting like a couple! “Oh nothing to see here, he just likes the company of young girls and it’s due to him missing out on his teenage years due to joining Take That at 15 / Disney Club at 10 / insert child star situation as an excuse!

Well the Cascio girl has accused him too, there's a recent video where she clearly details the abuse.
