Michael Jackson

I think the same as I always have. He abused those boys because they knew about the vitiligo marks on his pen. There’s no excuse for that.

I still think he’s the reason Macauley Culkin went off the rails but he’s not going to come out and say anything because MJ’s weird fans would hound him and nobody would be interested in giving him a job anymore because admitting abuse hasn’t helped anyone’s career has it?

He groomed the world talking about his abusive childhood though. I don’t buy that he wanted to play with children because he didn’t have a childhood himself, he still had choices like we all have and most of us choose not to repeat the mistakes. We still grow up and want to have adult experiences rather than childhood ones. Having said that I do recognise all of his family seem to be very strange.

Michael was a hard nosed businessman when he wanted to be, the only thing I‘m not surprised about is that he ended up on drugs and dead much earlier than he should have.

He’s a mercurial character though, I can still appreciate his music - well everything before Bad was incredible, after that it all went a bit meh.
Whether anything happened I have no idea but Macauley did admit to sleeping in the bed with him which is weird on it's own as well as claiming an adult having such a close friendship with a child was no issue. He tried to defend him once in a Larry King interview but the problem was Michael himself admitted he always slept in the same bed as the kids, not another one or another room and it wasn't just at Neverland it happened either.

Very interesting video posted a few hours ago on soft white underbelly... Michaels crisis publicist.
I found it to be quite a good interview- alot of factual information in there and, of course his own opinions. A couple of inconsistencies i noted, plus the timing of him coming forward is questioable- I'm sure the mega fans will rip those apart. But overall very interesting and i found myself thinking alot was probably very true. So disturbing that alot of people in his inner circle were aware and included in the 'kiddie circle'- and I feel they should be held accountable too, but MJ is and will always be the perfect fall guy, those who facilitated it probably won't ever be talked about.
It left me feeling that the DA and all of those who were hell bent on proving MJ to be an abuser just were too tunnel vision. I feel that the Arvizos just were not credible at all- maybe if another victim had come forward, the verdict would have been very different.
I do feel that these Cascio accusations might have got somewhere had he been alive though.

Or maybe the updates from the trial of 2005?... you can find online where he was tried in a court of law as any living American citizen is-you know, with a jury, a judge, evidence against him, evidence on his defence, victims testimony, eye witnesses. Not a documentary that is purely one sided with no defence, how is that fair in any way? Its like saying go and watch a documentary that is purely fan fiction of his innocence. I understand we need to hear what the accusations are, but at the same time it's hardly balanced. I hope you aren't called for jury service any time soon.
I can't stand the fans that protest his innocence all the time, completely blind sided and romanticising his music and legacy, but equally i think its unfair to believe every accusation sent his way when we don't have any evidence. This is why we have a justice system in place.
I was actually more interested in his upbringing/general life story etc, but totally understand what you’re getting at and I’ll look it up too
Thanks everyone for the recs too

Awww I know that 🥰🥰 I just feel like someone suggesting the channel 4 documentary wasn't being particularly helpful for you.
As I say, the most balanced one, I found, is the BBC one.
I just felt it did bring up the allegations in a fair way, and is left for you to make your mind up. But it also shows you about his life, craft and subsequent fame, which is part of his story too.
Unfortunately for camp Jackson, the two do go hand in hand.... the BBC one l doesn't try to sway you either way. To me, that's fair.
There's a lot of documentaries out there, some are too much in Mjs favour where they paint him like a God and talk like all the allegations are totally unfounded....and there are others that are totally based around an allegation, with no way for us to actually know or prove it was true.

This is the most balanced view I've seen. I dont know what happened and I'll never claim to think he's innocent or guilty. I'd like to think he's innocent but where there is smoke there is often fire.
I do often wonder about a couple of things though. One, surely if there was any proof, a jury would have convicted him? But also aware that is only relating to the 2005 accusations.
Two, these current lawsuits and the issues from Robson and Safechuck... they have admit they lied under oath. Surely that makes them not credible or there is a legal issue there?

Again I'm not saying whether I believe him innocent or guilty.

You can't throw around accusations because of a feeling you have FFS 🤦‍♂️ Jesus Christ 😡
If you didn't listen to music because an artist had allegations you wouldn't have duck all to listen to

Especially all the rockstar from the 70s and 80s with questionable relationships with groupies teenagers underage girls

I think it depends - on if they were convicted (or pretty much guilty without a conviction) and what they were guilty of.

But he wasn't ever found guilty of anything yes he was weird but why does it take a solid yes they've been guilty for someone to back off them and not just say he was accused therefore he's guilty

Justin and Blake how many people have called him names because of this and are still even though he did fa

How many people went off jonhnny depp and still probably hate him even though he was cleared

I said on the Ryan Reynolds page that celebs and men especially should be protected against accusations that ruin lives

I suppose people will look at further information, that comes to light as the years pass. I didn’t pay much attention to the MJ accusations back in the day - thought it likely that he was an oddball, but probably harmless. I felt it likely that he could have had false accusations made against him.
On gathering more information recently (including the recent BBC documentary), I feel that it is very likely that he was guilty.
Still an oddball, and likely that some of the accusations against may have been false - but I do now believe some of the accusations and feel that he did abuse children.
Some of the children (who are now adults) will defend him, as I feel that MJ was manipulative and clever enough, not to abuse all of the children that he “slept with”.

We know that guilty people leave courtrooms every day, with a “not guilty” verdict. There is also the possibility that he may well have been both guilty and innocent of the various accusations made against him.

There are plenty of abusers who got away with it plain sight - Saville being the obvious example.

In the past there was an online blog about Michael and all his special young friends. With the timeline of all his relationships. When I read it and especially after seeing all the pictures (in private and Public setting) I do not need a court to convince me he was a p…. As a mother of three boys I would never allow any adult man to display such inappropriate behaviour to my children.

I've said it earlier in the thread but a few of the jurors were asked and they said the same thing...there wasn't enough to prove to them he was 100% guilty but they didn't think he was innocent either. Then there was also the fact that at least one juror should never have been there to begin with as she lied and claimed not to be a fan/could be partial, then years later in a show about celeb cases and jurors being asked with what they now know, would they still say the same thing, admitted she was always gonna find him not guilty.

A great comment ...This is why I agree with Pat Brown's belief that jurors shouldn't just be picked at random, that their should be roles made especially for being a juror. With training, so people know how to analyse things in an objective way. Something a lot of people seem to lack nowadays.

You are talking about professional jurors, who would have to be paid for their services. Can you not see how problematic this would be?

It's an absolutely absurd and unworkable idea. Jurors need to be randomly selected to keep the process fair and unbiased. Choosing people based on their backgrounds would be absurd and would cause a backlog of cases.

Sure, every orchard has a few bad apples, but the current system is the best.

Of course it would! In an ideal world I meant, of course it would never work. But would stop some silly verdicts at times

But he never got away? And wasn’t hiding in plain sight like Saville - the conversation has been ongoing for years, he went to court, he went under the FBI investigations multiple times, he was never convicted.

He has been in the public court of law for 33 years and it will never ever end because as the public we see him generally as guilty because it’s hard to fathom why a grown ass man was having sleep overs and giving minors alcohol etc. It’s all layers of messed up but he never got away with anything really, he was done and over since that first case. The only thing people want now is millions of dollars, but these families were fine with shipping their kids off to him though at the time… like I know grooming is a thing but come on, really letting a grown man be alone and share a bed with your child. They wanted his money, the parents of these children who are suing should also be cross examined if these go to court.

Being investigated by the FBII doesn't mean much They claimed to fully investigate Epstein and claimed there was no proof he was trafficking girls to others yet we have now found out it was worse than was even suspected. They have also had countless agents over the years end up in court and jailed, including those high up because they took bribes to look the other way.

I agree it's wrong to let your child sleep in a bed with a strange adult but if you are gonna call out the parents then you sure as hell should be calling the person who thinks it's alright to do it...the same person who as soon as they passed a certain age, threw them and their parents out with the trash and found some more younger ones and started the cycle again. He gets far too many allowances that others wouldn't because of who he. Paris said it perfectly when she said people have this fantasy of him but that's all it is as the Michael he showed and the real Michael behind closed doors were two completely different people. His fans know the Michael he showed the world, they don't know the person he became when doors were shut and everyone left.

I agree - the parents of those (then) children, should be answerable. He played on the notion that he was a Peter Pan figure and an odd ball. I now find him to be very manipulative. He was probably right when he said he was falsely accused, as it is sort of inevitable that someone will falsely accuse a man of his wealth and fame. I feel he conveniently hid behind a couple of false accusations, whilst he was actually abusing children.
