By two mysterious men seemingly. Could it not be that whomever checked SL for injuries at the scene didn't check or missed his injuries? Because frankly the first scenario sounds more credible than the second.
And to add, as someone commented, in such suspicious unresolved circumstances you would be open to the guilty person being someone at the pool as that is the most likely circumstance. But flat out dismissing the thought smacks of guilt.

Theres no public records anywhere that he has schizophrenia. First I have ever heard him saying he has this. Not in any interview or any newspaper article has it ever mentioned he has this.

You can’t really get late-onset schizophrenia from trauma though. I mean, trauma can help it along, but given his early life trauma of being a closeted but famous gay man, that’s more likely to set it off than being “falsely accused” of involvement of a man’s death in your pool. A quick Google and it seems none were in this party. I cant see MB was cooperative from my search? My mum said Barrymore was a big public figure and probably had press on his side as it wasnt taken further. I think in that small party people heard if not saw things. Were NDAs a thing?

I'm in my 30s and I remember news of the world hounding him and accusing him of being a perverted murderer. I remember him being smarmy all throughout his career and he still is.

People suspect there were “friends in high places” or money changed hands somewhere, and the police eventually admitted they stuffed up the investigation IIRC? I think one of his crew on the night (boyfriend or associate?) was known to have “connections”.

This straight, none drug user guy met them on a night out, a load of them went to a party after the club invited by local celeb Barrymore to his house, and he ended up a few hours later -dead by drowning with signs of a serious sexual assault, drugs in his system and the pool thermometer went missing. Maybe it was aliens?

I see The News of The World did cover it. So who was The Editor of The News of The World? Rebekah Wade or Piers Morgan? I presume both took the same stance amyway.
Aparently he was as famous as Saville in the 90s so this took him down but if he was cleared how come he didnt return to Television? Was he feeling shame or was he not allowed back on or was it management? Is he rich? Did he pay off people?

Probably.

This whole thing is about power/money/corruption. Being gay was still a bit taboo at the time, it wasn’t as accepted as it is thesedays yet a straight man died, with sexual assault injuries at a party with a group of rich, influential gay men and nobody was ever convicted.

He has never been cleared. It’s just that nobody has been found guilty. First he fled to New Zealand and started a life over there, then he returned to the UK and Big Brother restored him a bit. But he is an alcoholic and was always in rehab too. It didn’t seem like “showbiz friends” came rushing to support him, and possibly because he was widely disliked on account of him being a terrible bleep, unfunny, horrible to work with and full of himself.
I mean even Richard and Judy championed John Leslie. In those days everyone spoke up pre- me too and defended their telly mates against accusations.

Absolutely agree! Especially as he barely knew the guests. Other than his boyfriend, the others were previously unknown to him other than Futers and Shaw, and even they were mere acquaintances who just lived locally. It wasn’t like any of them were lifelong friends who he felt he could vouch for.
